Rondegat Self-catering Cottages not only offer airy and spacious accommodation but also magnificent and rejuvenating views of the Clanwilliam Dam, the surrounding mountains and citrus orchards. It offers an experience that the whole family will enjoy. Here one can bring their boat, 4x4, mountain bike, fishing rod, walking shoes or just a good book. You may need an Indiana Jones outfit to complete the picture as this is an adventure from the moment you arrive. Quiet time can be enjoyed birdwatching and going on scenic hikes in the orchards or along the pristine Rondegat mountain stream. Here there is something for everyone. Kindly note minimum stay over weekends are 2 days , long weekend 3 days and over Dec holiday 5 - 7 days. A R300 key deposit is payable on arrival. Regret NO credit cards. Rondegat supplies bedding but NO TOWELS. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere is part of the Rondegat experience, we therefor do not allow groups or any parties / noise. This mountain hideaway borders the 80,000-hectare Cederberg Reserve, a world of awe-inspiring rock formations, bushman caves and endless hiking trails. The area offers the solitude and grandeur setting of ancient and mystical times, with magical sunrises and sunsets, while the Olifants River is a short distance away, allowing for idyllic swimming and picnics. The Cederberg is home to the regal Cape leopard, baboons, lynx, antelope and 165 bird species, including the magnificent Black eagle and Eagle owls. Economical scenic flights are also available over the West Coast and Cederberg, and an award-winning vineyard and horseback riding are optional day trips nearby. We do not allow children under the age of 16 years as we have a domestic Timber Wolf permanently in camp.

Each lovely room is equipped with a TV with selected channels, is air-conditioned for comfort and offers a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, Wi-Fi Internet access and electric blankets in winter. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a bath or a shower and they are furnished with comfortable twin, double or queen-size beds. Four of the rooms are equipped for self-catering and have kitchenettes with microwaves, kettles; cutlery, crockery and braai facilities. Meals and packed lunches can be arranged and guests can cool down in the inviting swimming pool or just sit and relax in the lovely garden. Small pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Clanwilliam is one of the oldest towns in South Africa and a walk through the town centre will take guests to no less than seven national monuments. Clanwilliam offers a variety of activities and attractions such as the Cederberg Wilderness Area, which is popular with hikers and mountaineers and those wanting a true wilderness experience. The Cederberg Wine Cellar is definitely worth a visit and both the Clanwilliam and Bulshoek Dams offer a number of water sport opportunities.

This quaint stone cottage has no electricity and is suitable for guests who ‘tread lightly’ - couples, two families, a yoga retreat, massage course, artist’s getaway, mountain biking weekend, hiker's weekend or deep relaxation. The kitchen is fully-equipped with coffee plunger, gas stove, gas fridge, pantry, secure food storage trunk and solar-heated water for kitchen and outdoor shower. There is also 300 litre solar heated tank installed for the bathroom which offers a bath and a shower. Please use Eco soap. Living areas feature books to read, indoor fireplace, outdoor boma, braai grid and two large deck areas. Three bedrooms offer a king-size bed, single bed, queen-size bed and ‘dorm’ with five double bunks. There is ample deck space for sleeping under the jostling stars. You will need to bring bedding including pillows, Eco-soaps, extra candles, firewood and torches. You take back all your good memories and your dry rubbish. Black bags are provided in the pantry, all kitchen leftovers can be tossed into the garden for the wildlife. Explore the mountain streams and beautiful walking trails. Go mountain biking, wine tasting, view rock paintings or just chill out in this inspiring environment. The cost of the unit is R720 per night for the first two guests. Thereafter, an additional R200 will be charged per person per night.

The Annex is a beautiful self-catering unit which is attached to the main farmhouse and features a private entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, and an outside barbecue area. The Cabin is a small cottage with a bathroom, an inside fireplace, an outside kitchenette under a thatch roof, and an outside barbecue area. We also offer a campsite under shady trees, next to the river. The campsite includes hot water ablutions, barbecue areas, and electricity points. Enjo Nature Farm is situated far from the main tourist tracks, within the unspoilt Biedouw Valley of the Cederberg mountains. The valley is known for its magnificent wild flowers and incredibly beautiful landscape. Enjoy the quiet beauty and millions of stars at night. There is also a wonderful hiking trail on the farm to the Enjo Amphitheatre, a dam for swimming, and to the spring which feeds our drinking water. Choose between exploring the area by mountain bike or motorbike; we have two of each ready for you. There are various restaurants within easy walking distance and major banks are close by. All five of the suites open onto the garden which has a huge wild fig tree in the centre. This tree is well over a hundred years old and gives the lodge its own ambience of peace and protection. Guests are welcome to relax in the garden around the fish pond, to use the splash pool and to enjoy drinks on the shaded veranda or in the guest lounge in the hundred-year-old section of the lodge. Jams, warm bread, fresh muffins and muesli are all home-made and contribute to a delightful breakfast. Dinners are served by arrangement and are an outstanding highlight at Saint du Barry’s. Guests return regularly to enjoy Joan’s preparation of the freshest ingredients in ways that enhance their natural flavours. Having drinks on the patio or at the fish pond in the late afternoon while watching the light change from gold to pink and dark blue is a favourite past time for guests. This country lodge is more than a B&B; it is a home with a reputation for comfort, personal attention, friendliness and helpfulness. The shaded campsites are located on the banks of the Rondegat River and have braai areas and a number of natural rock pools nearby for swimming. The farm offers a variety of hiking trails starting from the campsite and the waterfall at Algeria and the Bushman paintings on the neighbouring farm are popular attractions. The Wolfberg Cracks, Wolfberg Arch, Maltese Cross and Stadsaal Caves can easily be reached from here.
