If you're looking to escape and I mean really escape from the throngs of city life, then Dirk se Huisie is the perfect mountain getaway. Nestled within the Cedarderg mountains Dirk se Huisie is a secluded wonder. No electricty & mininmal signal this humble yet magical cottage is perfect if you're after tranquil beauty. The hosts, Elzette, Oom Appel/Jannie & everyone we encountered was super accommodating & friendly!

My wife and I spent three nights in Dirk se Huisie to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were bowled over by the spectacular scenery, tranquility and the hospitality displayed by Oom Johan and Tannie Pina.
