Town of Amatola
Yes, it is true that the roads leave much to be desired, as we fall under Nkonkobe municipality it is an ongoing fight to have our roads up-graded. Hogsback has so much to offer. It is a tranquil little village high up in the Amathole Mountains in the Eastern Cape. There are magnificent waterfalls and view sites, horse-riding, abseiling, mountain biking, hiking trails and beautiful forests to name just a few. We have a fairy garden, a Labyrinth, Pottery, Eco Shrine and Art Gallery and numerous Eateries to tempt your taste-buds. Visit Hogsback for a back to nature experience!

Town of Eastern Cape Highlands
Another neglected town
Elliot is located in a beautiful part of the Southern Drakensberg. However the beauty of the surrounding mountains cannot detract from the shabby decay that is overtaking many of the once quaint Eastern Cape country towns. It is a town that as a traveler you feel you have to exit as quickly as you entered. Poverty greets the eye around every corner and there is nothing in the town that would attract holiday makers. The main attraction are the few farms that have overnight accommodation available for those travelling to more attractive destinations.
