The Gem of the Karoo
Graaff-Reinet is South Africa's 4th oldest town and is jam packed with museums, interesting architecture, friendly people and restaurants. The service is amazing and so is the Karoo Food not to mention local crafts. It is sourrounded by the Camdeboo National Park which is also well known for its picturesque Valley of Desolation. Well placed for a night or two on the way to the coast from Johannesburg but also well worth a visit as a destination.
