Kassia & Figg is a sweet bakery and coffee shop owned and run by a dedicated and passionate family. The coffee shop is located opposite the tidal pool, at the entrance of Kalk Bay when coming from the direction of Muizenberg. Tucked away in a tiny shop in Muizenberg Village, master baker Hasan produces the most delectable artisanal bread and pastries from his tiny bakery, La Petite Boulangerie. A favourite with locals, the quality of the baked goods at this hidden gem is world class. Most of the deli is taken up by industrial ovens, but there is enough seating at the counter and in the tiny courtyard for a quick coffee with friends. Designed more as an express bakery, pastries such as croissants and muffins call from the counter. Locals flow in to collect their daily bread, still warm from the oven, as others gather and catch up on local news.
