Café Dutch is a modern bistro café offering traditional and modern Dutch delights. Located in Wynberg in a converted Victorian building boasting an upmarket feel dressed in stark white tables and chairs set against warm charcoal walls. The menu encourages lingering sampling homemade crumbed organic beef kroketten served on rye bread and winter rich pea soup with smoked sausage. Then there is the tasty nasi goreng with Indonesian chilli and spices, chicken satay, homemade peanut sauce and prawn crackers. Diners can enjoy non-traditional highlights, such as wild mushroom tart with rocket and Parmesan shavings, or salmon fishcakes with dill mustard sauce rounded off by a simply sinful bittersweet dark chocolate dessert with orange curd, served in a coffee cup.
