Epupa Camp consists of nine luxury Safari-style Tents erected on stone platforms, each with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. All of the tents have electricity and mosquito netting and an outside, shaded balcony overlooking the tranquil Kunene River. Large makalani palms overhead provide welcome shade from the midday sun. A minimum stay of two nights, ideally three, is recommended to fully benefit from everything the Epupa area has to offer. The adjacent dining room and lounge area also face the Kunene River, along with a lounging pool for cooling down from the midday heat or enjoying a glass of sparkling wine while watching the sun set. Our five exclusive campsites, under huge ana and makalani trees, allow for a camping in a secluded, shady and quiet corner along the Kunene River. Our campsites combine the use of local material with pleasing attention to detail to allow for a most memorable stay in Namibia. Each campsite has a river view and has private ablution facilities, consisting of a shower with warm and cold water, flush toilets and two hand basins, a braai area, and a sink for dishes. The campsites are spacious to easily allow a group of ten guests with five vehicles with off-road trailers or caravans. Campers are ensured of falling asleep to the sounds of only the rapids of the Kunene River, nocturnal animals and birds. Camping guests are welcome to use the Epupa Camp facilities. Meals and activities can be booked with the camp management upon arrival. The local community sells firewood at the campsite and also offers a laundry service. Our staff can assist you to negotiate this with the community. Our campsite is situated about 1 km, an easy walk, from the Epupa Falls. You can meander along the river bank or through the village. Enquire at check-in about self-hiking trails and guided trails. Epupa Camp offers a wide range of activities that give you a rare opportunity to explore this fascinating corner of the world, including visits to a Himba settlement, sundowner sunset drives, rafting, bird-watching boat trips, and visits to Epupa Falls.

Etambura is Namibia’s first Himba co-owned camp situated in Orupembe Conservancy, on top of one of the highest hills above the holy plains of Onjuva, where livestock and springbok peacefully graze together. There are five canvas and thatch chalets, one of which is wheelchair friendly, each with its own private deck extending from the hill. Built on a wooden platform and, in some cases, on stilts, each unit is positioned to optimize the view. The horseshoe-shape of our recreational area, built from natural materials, fully blends in with the contours of a hill-top skyline. Enjoy your meals on the circular deck with spectacular views over the hills and plains, or in the spacious dining room. Should you just want to relax, settle down in the cool comfort of our lounge area. Etambura is the ideal place to relax with the sounds of bird life and the rustle of trees. The rich hues of purple-pod terminalia with unimpeded 360 degree views make this unique spot unforgettable. After a game drive, where you might be fortunate enough to see black rhinos, enjoy a stroll and explore the hill with its many widespread species of plants and shrubs.

In the foothills of the Grootberg massif, in stunning scenery set amidst the ancient Etendeka lava flows of northern Damaraland, you will find Etendeka Mountain Camp. Here the ancient basalt has been slowly eroded over millennia, leaving scattered boulders lying upon dramatic flat-topped mountains. The emphasis here is on nature, and this eco-friendly camp bears testimony to her many riches. Accommodation is in ten en-suite meru tents, which are connected by pathways to the main dining tent. Extensive use is made of solar power throughout, both in the kitchen and the guest bathrooms, as well as for general electricity requirements. The wonders of the Kunene River provide plenty of entertainment, be it fly-fishing or cruising along the river in awe of the rich bird life and mighty crocodiles.
