The sprawling resort offers 100 comfortably furnished chalets, of which each has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of these chalets is also wheelchair friendly. Each chalet has a well-equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge with a fireplace, ideal for those chilly winter evenings. These chalets also have private patios offering picture-perfect views of the surrounding area.

The resort offers a variety of restaurants and eateries, as well as braai areas which are available on request at an additional cost. Business travellers will not be disappointed by the state-of-the-art conference facilities, while couples can start their married life together by having an unforgettable wedding at this beautiful venue.

There are many nearby activities for the more active guest to enjoy. These include mountain- and quad biking as well as paintball. On-site activities include hiking, swimming and horse riding. The cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Geluksburg, 27 km north of Bergville, and commands views of the Drakensberg Mountain range from the Sentinel to Giants Castle.

The unit features a master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, while the two twin rooms and mezzanine sleeping area each have two single beds and a shared bathroom. In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with fireplace, and a games room with a bar, pool table and a lookout deck with views of the neighbouring farmland and Drakensberg Mountains. The covered patio and back area is ideal for a family barbecue and social gatherings.

Zonderntwyfel only accommodates a minimum of 10 guests. The Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse has five simple but pleasant en-suite bedrooms with single beds. The bathrooms each have a shower, toilet and hand basin. All bedrooms open onto a beautiful conservatory, so no matter what the weather is doing, you are protected in the garden.

The Barnhouse is generally used for retreat groups. It is also the perfect place for family and friends getting together for a few days, particularly as it is situated halfway between Johannesburg and Durban.

Our chef provides tasty, wholesome food and also caters for individual dietary needs. Dinner is a three course affair and is served buffet style. Our full farmhouse breakfast gets you going for the day. Morning and afternoon teas are included in the price and for those who wish to go on a day trip, we provide packed lunches.

We also offer the establishment on a self-catering basis. Please enquire about the rates.

Activities range from simply taking in the amazing views, reading around the fire, going for gentle walks, engaging in strenuous hikes or taking wonderful day trips into the surrounding area. Our walks and hikes have spectacular views.

Bergville Caravan Park and Chalets is situated on the foothills of the Drakensberg, on the banks of the Tugela River. It offers guests a choice of staying in one of the fully equipped Chalets, Park Homes, Rondavels or Campsites.

Each Chalet is furnished with a double bed, two single beds and has a private bathroom with a shower. The kitchens are fully equipped with stoves, ovens, microwaves, fridges, tea and coffee facilities and TVs. Three of the Chalets also have lounge areas where guests can relax.

The Park Homes are furnished with double beds and have fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, while the Rondavels are furnished with single beds and also have private bathrooms, but there are no kitchens. For the campers, there is a choice of 40 sites, 20 of which offer electrical points. The Campsites share the use of an ablution block which has showers and baths.

The caravan park offers a variety of entertainment such as trampolines, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a bowling green. A coffee shop and a nursery are also located on the premises and the resort is available for weddings, conferences and other private functions.

As the property is located next to a river, it is ideal for canoeing and fishing. Some of the most picturesque hiking trails can be found at Cathkin Park, Cathedral Peak, Champagne Castle, Oliviershoek and Royal National Park Mount Aux Sources. Various historical monuments can also be visited in the area.The R74 is currently under construction.

Tugela Rapids is a rustic, self-catering retreat situated on the banks of the Tugela River in the Bergville district of KwaZulu-Natal. The camp is situated on a working farm where we do beef, sheep, vegetable and crop farming. The farm is situated off the R74, between Bergville and Winterton which are farming villages that offer basic shopping needs. Come and sample the peace of paradise in the total seclusion of your own exclusive bush camp.

Accommodation comprises a self-catering unit sleeping up to eight guests. The unit contains two separate bedrooms, each sleeping four guests. The sleeping arrangements are loft-style, with two guests downstairs and two guests upstairs. Bathroom facilities include an ablution block with two toilets and a shower. The water is heated by gas and we have a solar lighting system.

Features include a lapa with a deck overlooking the river, which also serves as a kitchen and social area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove as well as a gas fridge with deep freeze space. In addition, there is also an indoor barbecue as well as an outdoor barbecue area for relaxed entertaining.
