The TGCSA four star graded lodge, consists of 6 standard luxury twin suites, and a 2-bedroomed family suite, which is situated in close proximity to the main dining facility and in the opposite direction to the other guest suites. It has a master bedroom en-suite, a children’s room with a separate toilet and a small kitchenette.

All bedrooms are equipped with all the modern conveniences and all beds are fitted with 100% cotton percale linen adding to your comfort. Private Veranda’s accompany each bedroom and each bathroom, with heated towel rails, luxury soaps and amenities and both bath and shower sport an amazing view of the Spoinkop valley from the bath itself.

The main living area has an open-plan design, with four sets of large double doors leading onto the veranda. The result is a flowing space, where you can relax on a comfy chair, read in the afternoon sun and enjoy convivial dinners. In the winter an open log fire and "Dover" coal stove create a welcoming environment.

Meals are often served outside where one can soak up the views while enjoying the exquisite local cuisine – a fusion of home and modern flavours, dining is a family affair. Buffet style breakfast and lunches and 3 course plated dinners will ensure that taste buds are stimulated and gastronomic satisfaction is guaranteed. The Barnhouse is generally used for retreat groups. It is also the perfect place for family and friends getting together for a few days, particularly as it is situated halfway between Johannesburg and Durban.

Our chef provides tasty, wholesome food and also caters for individual dietary needs. Dinner is a three course affair and is served buffet style. Our full farmhouse breakfast gets you going for the day. Morning and afternoon teas are included in the price and for those who wish to go on a day trip, we provide packed lunches.

Each Chalet is furnished with a double bed, two single beds and has a private bathroom with a shower. The kitchens are fully equipped with stoves, ovens, microwaves, fridges, tea and coffee facilities and TVs. Three of the Chalets also have lounge areas where guests can relax.

The Park Homes are furnished with double beds and have fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, while the Rondavels are furnished with single beds and also have private bathrooms, but there are no kitchens. For the campers, there is a choice of 40 sites, 20 of which offer electrical points. The Campsites share the use of an ablution block which has showers and baths.

The caravan park offers a variety of entertainment such as trampolines, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a bowling green. A coffee shop and a nursery are also located on the premises and the resort is available for weddings, conferences and other private functions.

As the property is located next to a river, it is ideal for canoeing and fishing. Some of the most picturesque hiking trails can be found at Cathkin Park, Cathedral Peak, Champagne Castle, Oliviershoek and Royal National Park Mount Aux Sources. The camp is situated on a working farm where we do beef, sheep, vegetable and crop farming. The farm is situated off the R74, between Bergville and Winterton which are farming villages that offer basic shopping needs. Come and sample the peace of paradise in the total seclusion of your own exclusive bush camp.

Accommodation comprises a self-catering unit sleeping up to eight guests. The unit contains two separate bedrooms, each sleeping four guests. The sleeping arrangements are loft-style, with two guests downstairs and two guests upstairs. Bathroom facilities include an ablution block with two toilets and a shower. The water is heated by gas and we have a solar lighting system.

Features include a lapa with a deck overlooking the river, which also serves as a kitchen and social area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove as well as a gas fridge with deep freeze space. In addition, there is also an indoor barbecue as well as an outdoor barbecue area for relaxed entertaining.

Please note the minimum rate for any party of four persons or less for one night is R1000.
