About Simone's Cottage
Simone’s Cottage is a cosy cottage perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. The unit features one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom consisting of a separate shower and bath. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove and oven, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea and coffee facilities, while the lounge is comfortably furnished with a fireplace that creates a warm atmosphere on those cold and sometimes snowy, winter nights. The cottage has a big garden and is situated next to the Gats Riverbank and is within walking distance of town.Although the town only has a couple of streets, a few guest houses and restaurants, a pub and a couple of quaint art galleries, the rustic charm of the town attracts tourists from all over. The Owl House and Camel Yard are worth a visit and consist of a Karoo-style cottage that has been transformed by its former owner, Helen Martins, into a glass-encrusted wonderland and statue-filled garden. For those looking for more sights and attractions, Graaff-Reinet is only a short drive away and offers a golf course, the Valley of Desolation as well as the Camdeboo National Park.
