    South Africa's Thailand
We loved Kosi Bay - it is truly an amazing place that has an enormous amount to offer - just make sure you have a 4x4 as almost everything is accessed by 4x4.

    Unspoilt beauty
Kosi Bay is an adventure to be explored only by the strong. Unless you use a guide there are very few signage to take you to places worth seeing. This is however what attracted us to go there and find them on our own. Kosi Bay has lots to offer but you have to seek and ask.One awesome place!

    Permit system a disaster
I would have loved to see Kosi Bay. Unfortunately with the permit system, our family never got to set foot on the beach or the lakes.

    Snorkelling
Kosi Bay is a place one can easily spend a week snorkelling at all the different spots. Some places are hard to get to, so a 4x4 is a must. Well worth every second. Fun drives nonetheless.

    Beautiful nature
Kosi Bay is definitely a destination if you like being in nature. We went snorkeling in the Kosi Bay mouth - the variety of fish is amazing. You will definitely need a 4x4 so not accessible for a normal car. We went in low season and then it is paradise. We even spotted a fish eagle and heard its call over the Kosi Bay mouth. Be careful however where you stay as there is some pretty basic accommodation available that will have you wishing you were somewhere else. We will definitely return to the area for some peace and quiet.

    Kosi Bay
Kosi Bay is a wonderful area! However, if you are into water sports i.e. sea kayaking or kit surfing, this is not the place for you, Kosi Bay don't allow any water sports which makes no sens, as motor boats are allowed on the lakes and the ocean but not kayaks, surfers, etc. Beautfil location for snorkeling, swiming, fishing and baking in the sun, wonderful area for relaxation and peace and quiet! Also, the disadvantage of having to get permits for all locations which you can only get the day before and there are only x amount of permits per location. Other than that, excellent!
