Lagoon Lodge offers trhee bed and breakfast rooms and three self-catering units, all elegantly furnished and clean. We serve a great three-course breakfast in the dining room or on the balcony overlooking the lagoon. Our guests are often surprised by the shy presence of a Knysna Loerie in the trees just off the balcony.

Each room includes a satellite TV, bar fridge and kettle. Some of the rooms also have balconies from which you have an exquisite view over the tree tops, and braai facilities are available in the garden. All rates include breakfast.

The setting is ideal for golf trips as it is just down the road from a renowned golf course, and special excursions can be arranged for non-golfing partners. Transfers to and from the airport can also be arranged, as well as day trips and tours around the area.

Each flat can sleep four to six people. The accommodation is fully equipped with everything required for self-catering and includes a stove, an oven, a microwave oven, a full-size fridge with freezer and braai facilities. All linen is provided and each flat has two TVs with DStv. The flats can be fully serviced upon request.

There is a swimming pool and a pool table for your convenience. We are part of a natural bird sanctuary and species include the Knysna Loerie, the Heron and Egyptian Geese which often visit for a drink from the swimming pool.

Guests have a choice of staying in one of five uniquely decorated units, all with private sun decks with breathtaking sea views. The rooms offer comfortable double beds or three-quarter beds and each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The rooms are equipped with a TVs with M-Net, telephones, minibars, tea and coffee trays, gowns, safes and underfloor heating. The White, Ocean and Shell Rooms all face the sea and have a private sun decks with direct access to the beach, while the garden-facing Africa Room is wheelchair friendly and has a private patio. The double-storey Beach Room enjoys sea views from both levels and has a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge.

Guests can see whales and dolphins from each private sun deck or from the timber deck at the poolside. A private scenic boardwalk leads from the guest lodge right onto the beach and we provide a beach bag containing towels, bats and a ball for the beach. Outside showers are available at the pool area as well as on the boardwalk leading to the beach. Guests can buy locally manufactured items at the small gift shop on site.

Wilderness offers guests a wide variety of activities such as mountain biking, whale and dolphin watching, hang- and paragliding, horse riding, scenic drives and an extensive network of hiking trails. There are also water sports such as skiing, sailing, surfing and angling. Birdwatching is a rare and unique experience with nearly 200 species in the area. There are also a number of popular picnic sites such as the 800-year-old Woodville Big Tree in the indigenous forest.

The 25 hectares of private forest offers walking trails, birdwatching and picnic facilities. Guests can relax next to the dam, or the large pool overlooking the river.

Plett River Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in nine spacious en-suite rooms. We have three Double Rooms, three Twin Rooms and three Family Rooms. Beautifully yet simply decorated in a rustic, contemporary style with cement floors, woven-coir rugs, neutral colours and warm fabrics; each room offers a luxury en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and double vanities. Rooms are airy and light with large windows showing panoramic vistas of the Bitou River or the estate gardens. Each room has a dressing table, television and panel heater. Six of the rooms open through double doors onto the viewing deck, which overlooks the Bitou River. Each of these rooms has a private section of covered deck, as well as a comfortable seating area under a reed roof. Imagine the delight of stepping out of your bed onto your private balcony, gazing at the unspoilt splendor of the Breede River and Indian Ocean. We are situated just off the garden route in Witsand known as the Whale Nursery of South Africa. This is where a large group of Southern Right Whales arriver annually to calf, during season you can view up to over a hundred whales in the bay.

The hotel endeavors to cater both for the local family traveler and the international traveler who would like to see a part of the real South Africa. We arrange conferences, weddings, special functions and other forms of personal catering. The hotel has a practical well equipped conference/special function room that seats up to 30 persons, and a large venue room seating up to 60 delegates. There is a variety of top class accommodation at the hotel with various options from a fully serviced hotel room to a fully self-catering unit. All accommodation comes with colour televisions and a variety of satellite channels.

The Lodge not only has its own private harbor but also has boats to hire with or without experienced skippers available for fishing trips as well as various scenic cruises. The river, sea and coastal fishing are still excellent in this area. You will find it hard to be bored while staying with us in relative pampered luxury with so much to see and do.
