The downstairs space of the main building consists of an open-plan living area, a kitchen with a gas stove, and a separate study which can be used as bedroom. Upstairs is the main bedroom with two basins and a bidet, as well as a balcony.

A separate studio holds an additional bedroom and bathroom, with an indoor- and outdoor shower. A dry composting toilet is attached to this building.

Rain water is harvested and a solar pump provides drinking water. There is a beautiful wooden deck overlooking the forest that surrounds the house.

Activities in the area include walks in the forest to Natures Valley and Keurboomstrand along the coast, as well as mountain bike trails. Bird life is prolific and wild pigs, monkeys and bush buck often roam the area.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge is a 4 Star lodge set on the edge of an indigenous forest; in a private nature reserve with panoramic views of the surrounding indigenous forests, valleys and mountains. The lodge is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Africa - the Garden Route. All of our 16 Luxury Suites have private decks overlooking these vistas, offering guests relaxed luxury in an unforgettable setting.

Each Suite offers a king-size bed, a fireplace, a hammock and handcrafted artifacts. Guests can sleep comfortably in crisp linen and there is a special turndown each night. On chilly winter nights, we slip a hot water bottle between the sheets just in case the cosy fireplace isn’t enough. Each room is fitted with a minibar and a mini Hi-Fi, but there is no television or telephone. The main house forms a communal dining area leading down to a long, blue swimming pool that visually flows into the valley below. There is also a boma deck where nightly fires are lit.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge is well-known for its delectable food. On crisp and clear days, our farmhouse breakfasts are served on the wooden deck overlooking the forest, or near the huge fireplace on cooler days. In the evenings, guests can enjoy scrumptious candlelit dinners around the communal table. Meals are prepared using only the freshest of local produce. The set menu includes a selection of main course of which fish, prawns and crayfish are daily features. Guests with specific dietary requirements are catered for individually and children receive special mealtimes and menus.

Other attractions include a forest sauna and a privately sited forest shower with incredible views over the valley. Expect outstanding cuisine, numerous activities to suit each guest, and truly memorable hospitality from our team. For the adventurous, the lodge is the perfect base from which to explore and experience numerous adventure activities. We are renowned for our personalized service and we will gladly assist you with the planning and booking of daily excursions. Our guests' cars are washed daily with the compliments of Hog Hollow, and children are most welcome. We organize babysitting, special turndowns with a glass of fresh milk and a gingerbread man, children's stories and CDs, buckets, spades and boogie boards. Hog Hollow Country Lodge is closed for the month of June, but we are open for reservations all year round.

Four Fields Farm is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, arguably in the best position in the Southern Cape, and is an ideal stop-off point on the way to Shamwari or the Addo Elephant Park.

Our property is a must for birdwatchers and twitchers alike, with frequent visits by the famed Knysna Turaco or Loerie , the rare Narina Trogon, several species of Kingfisher, and the magnificent Fish Eagle. We have several dams containing mature Large Mouth Bass for your fishing pleasure, and are close to Natures Valley, which is frequented by local fishermen in the know.

We can also help arrange activities for guests such as, boat-based whale and dolphin-watching, coastal and forest walks in the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest, horse-riding, blackwater tubing, river boat rides, and bungee jumping.

Day trips in around the Crags include Monkey Land, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa Wildlife Sanctuary, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, and the Elephant Sanctuary, or a peaceful day on one of the pristine beaches.

Nestled between Plettenberg Bay and Nature's Valley, in the Garden Route, The Carraighs offers guests a truly relaxing stay in an indigenous forest, with spectacular birdlife. The secluded location offers privacy, but the cottage is conveniently located within driving distance to the nearest town.

This lovely two-story cottage has a main bedroom downstairs, with a double bed. The large dining and living area, has a TV with a DSTV. There is a couch/single bed in the lounge for a small child to sleep. The upstairs loft, with separate entrance has a double bed and two single beds, as well as a coffee table and couch which can also be converted into a sleeper couch. The loft has a wooden deck with a beautiful view. However, there is no bathroom upstairs so it is necessary that those sleeping upstairs use the bathroom in the downstairs part of the house. There is also a fully equipped and modern kitchen downstairs, a full bathroom, and braai facilities available next to the swimming pool. Meals can be enjoyed in the spacious living area.

There are laundry facilities in the nearby town of Plettenberg Bay. We will do a change of linen on request but do not offer other laundry facilities as we are in the country and rely on rainwater.
The wooden veranda is the perfect vantage point to appreciate the panoramic views of the forest from. There are many animal sanctuaries not too far away. These include Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, the Elephant Sanctuary, the Snake Park and Tenikwa Wildlife Sanctuary.

The beach is also just a short distance away The white sands and clear blue waters provide the perfect setting to while away lazy afternoons. Guests can visit the many restaurants in the area before coming back to relax in the swimming pool while enjoying a beautiful sunset.

We offer two large Dormitory Cabins sleeping 24 guests in each and a large Forest Cottage with eight bedrooms sleeping two guests in each room. There is a large wooden barn-style communal area with a fully equipped kitchen and a wrap-around deck with great views of the Outeniqua mountain range. The communal area also has tables with benches for workshops, lectures and meals. There is a boma for evening bonfires, a swimming pool, an obstacle course and a sports field. Visitors can meander along the beautiful walking trail leading to a natural clearing in the indigenous forest that is ideal for wedding ceremonies or as an outdoor classroom or meeting area.

Rocky Road is the gateway between the country’s Western Cape and Eastern Cape provinces and is ideally situated to provide superb accommodation for all travellers. We are 15 minutes away from the world's highest bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge and a mere 10-minute drive down a spectacular mountain pass to the unspoiled Natures Valley Beach in the Tsitsikamma National Park.

Rocky Road is far from the daily bustle of urban living. From our well-maintained gardens we enjoy spectacular views of the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range as well as Peak Formosa - the highest in the range. Our adjoining three-hectare forest has an easy trail to view our streams, waterfall and rock pool. The cabin sleeps up to 12 guests in two bedrooms, each sleeping six; one room has a double bed and two bunks the other room has two single beds and two bunks. Please note you will have to bring your own bedding.

The bathroom facility is separate, with shower facilities provided outside. The unit is self-catering and comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table. On those really chilly winter evenings, guests can light up the cosy fireplace and on balmy evenings, why not relax in front of the big, outdoor fire pit while admiring the amazing stars in the night sky. The accommodation is basic, and is suited for those who relish the great outdoors and the call of nature.

Hikers Cabin is located 15 km from Plettenberg Bay, close to useful amenities in town yet far enough from the busy holiday crowds. Kick back and enjoy the countryside and watch the buck resting in the sunshine, the birds busy in the trees, and relish the forest all around as you stroll along the different laid-out walking routes. The terrain includes forest, fynbos, pastures, dams, streams and fantastic views, with our own resident leopard.

The 4-Star Tarn Country House is situated within the Whiskey Creek Nature Reserve, in the heart of the Garden Route. This is where the Tsitsikamma and Outeniqua Mountains overlap and meet the Indian Ocean. You can find us between Plettenberg Bay and Natures Valley, a few short kilometres from the spectacular coastline and sandy beaches.

We offer a choice of eight charmingly decorated and spacious bedrooms. We have both twin bedded or double rooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, and it’s own private entrance. Delicious breakfasts, either English or Continental, are served on the patio overlooking the sprawling gardens or inside next to a cosy fireplace.

We are happy to make your dinner reservations at any restaurant in and around Plettenberg Bay. We offer a shuttle service for those guests who do not feel inclined to drive to a restaurant in the evening.

In 1980, the Rattray family bought Fairview - a 68-acre headland at The Crags between Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley. It was named after its extraordinary outlook over the Keurbooms Forest and into several mountain ranges. Built by David Rattray’s parents for their retirement, it was here that David’s mother, Gillian, wrote two of her books - A Cape Country Chronicle and In a Country Garden.

The property is a 10-minute drive from whale watching at Keurbooms Beach, 10 minutes from Plettenberg Bay with its gorgeous Robberg Peninsula and spectacular golf courses, and 15 minutes from Nature’s Valley with its beautiful beach and forest walks. The Kurland and Bitou Polo fields are also close by.

We offer an ideal springboard for all the attractions of this famous coastline, but far enough away from the bustle. It is spacious, beautifully furnished, affordable and it has a lovely swimming pool in the fynbos. It is possible to have exclusive use of the entire property on request.

The three cottages, Pine Tree, Oak Tree and the larger, Palmiet House, have been lovingly renovated with all modern conveniences, but retain their original charm and the grounds boast beautiful old trees, an abundance of bird life, as well as small animals like buck, porcupine and wild pigs.

This self-catering cottage is located on a smallholding and overlooks the majestic Tsitsikamma mountains in The Crags.

The cottage consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom. We offer a fully equipped kitchen including a microwave, gas stove and fridge-freezer combo. A TV with a satellite dish is available - please bring your own decoder and smart card. Linen and bath towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. The cottage overlooks a dam covered in water lilies with a few species of resident ducks.

There is plenty to do in the area, including trips to The Barnyard, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, wildlife reserves, the Plett Puzzle Park, and the Bramon Wine Estate. There are also a number restaurants in the area. Plettenberg Bay is a 2o km drive away and offers shopping, golf courses, restaurants and beaches.

You can enjoy the splendid sunsets over the mountains from your deck, take a stroll, or try your hand at Bass fishing.
