About Little Garonga
Little Garonga is an exclusive camp situated in the greater Makalali Conservancy, located west of the Kruger National Park. This unassuming sanctuary promises an intimate wildlife encounter in an unhurried environment where you can unwind, sleep deeply and simply be yourself. Garonga is a proud member of Classic Safari Camps of Africa.
Little Garonga offers three fully en-suite, thatched and air-conditioned suites, all situated around centralized indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a swimming pool and built-in braai area. Each suite also has its own platform deck, complete with hammock.
The Breakfast Deck under a tent is suitable for six guests, while the swimming pool area consists of a small pool, a deck with loungers, and a braai area. The indoor lounge is fully air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans for guests' comfort. It features a dining area, lounge seating area, fireplace, self-service bar and reading area.
Breakfast can be taken on the Breakfast Deck and lunch can be enjoyed inside the main lounge. Dinner is served either outside on the swimming pool deck by the fire, or inside the main lounge area, and braais can be arranged easily on request. Guests staying in the Hambleden Suite may enjoy lunch and dinner at the suite. Picnics may also be taken in the summer.
Garonga's holistic philosophy is to offer a safari for the soul; an unhurried and intimate wildlife encounter, a time to reflect and find inspiration in nature. You can either try your hand at every activity we have on offer, or you can do simply nothing at all, lazing in the hammock with a good book while watching the grazing impala.
