We welcome you to Kruger Cottage which is a charming thatched house in a unique area of the earth. The cottage is located in Marloth Park, nestled against the south edge of the Kruger National Park. Nature watching opportunities abound in Marloth Park which has no fences, allowing game animals to roam freely. Kruger Cottage is a private, self-catering house that comfortably sleeps six to eight guests. There is an open-plan living area and a vaulted thatch roof which form a comfortable common area that connects to a covered verandah with a splash pool and outdoor barbecue. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms Tiled floors throughout the house lead you to the verandah and pool where you can listen to the sounds of the hippos grunting in the river, the hooting of the owls and other wildlife as you enjoy the evening from the comfort of Kruger Cottage. The Crocodile River is a short 100 m walk from Kruger Cottage and it allows you an elevated view of all of the wildlife gathering at the water's edge. Take a morning walk or drive with a coffee cup in hand, bring your camera and binoculars and even a folding chair and be ready to see an amazing variety of bird life, as well as an abundance of larger animals. A local shop provides the basic essentials and if you wish to eat at a local restaurant, there are two lodges from which to choose. Kruger Cottage offers competitive rates. Everyone who comes to our house takes pictures of the animals, birds, the landscape and the house. If you are looking for relaxation and enjoyment of nature with all the comforts of home, Reverie Safari Lodge is the place for you. Decorated with pieces from all over Africa, the house is finished in warm colors and furnished with an eclectic collection of antiques and modern furnishings, including an iron stove converted to electricity, air-conditioners in the bedrooms and the best mattresses available for a good night’s sleep. There are two bedrooms, a loft with an additional bed and two full bathrooms. And like all other houses in Marloth Park, we are close to the Kruger National Park and we have regular animal visitors such as kudu, zebra, warthogs, monkeys and giraffes, while hundreds of birds make their home in all of the trees surrounding the house. We are located within a stone’s throw of Lionspruit which is the private game reserve for Marloth Park and home to four of the Big 5. The house rests between an open plain of parkland where animals come to graze or drink at our pond and a summer river with its special riverine biosphere. The house is surrounded by large shade trees, keeping it cool and providing plenty of privacy. Decks at the front and rear extend the house into the outdoors and an outdoor shower allows you to fully enjoy nature.

A lovely and luxurious, three-bedroom house with air-conditioners, a splash pool and a four poster bed. It has a large viewing deck with a built-in barbecue where you are able to watch animals including zebra, warthog, various buck, monkeys and many more in the garden. We have tried to think of everything a family or a group of friends could need. There is a deck lounge and dining furniture for al fresco living while you can listen to the lions roaring from inside the Kruger National Park. The house is only a 100 m from the Crocodile River and a 20-minute drive from the Kruger Park gate. The house is serviced once a week. A minimum stay of three nights is required. There are two local stores and several lodge restaurants only minutes away. There is a nice restaurant at Ngwenya River Lodge, which is a 15-minute drive from the house on the way to the main Kruger Park entrance. Guided game viewing and fishing trips are locally available as are rafting, hot air ballooning, microlight flights and cultural tribal visits. There is also a lovely golf course nearby.

Each apartment offers all the basic comforts to ensure an enjoyable, self-catering holiday for a family of four. Eden@Marloth consists of two identical and independent apartments. Each apartment can accommodate up to four guests. In each apartment, there is one double bed in the bedroom and twin single beds in the loft room. Bedding and towels are provided. A camping cot can be provided by prior arrangement. The bathroom contains a shower and toilet. Each apartment is air-conditioned, and features a kitchen that is well equipped for self-catering with a fridge, a microwave, utensils, and crockery. A braai area is available. For the not so adventurous, you can enjoy playing board games, a game of darts, taking a casual drive or a walk to the Crocodile River. Sibongile is a fully equipped holiday house in Marloth Park. It has four air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms. There is a room with shower and bath available for physically disabled guests as well as a ramp for wheelchairs. There two queen-size beds, a king bed, one double bed and two three-quarter beds. Cool down and enjoy cocktails in the splash pool on the patio. DStv is available but guests are required to bring their own smart card. If you don’t have a smart card, it can be arranged at an additional cost. Please note a R500 key deposit will be asked for on arrival, which you will get back if everything is in order. Please quote for the accurate amount of guests; if you have kids please can I have the age of the kids additional charges will made for extra guests not quoted. No music is allowed to be played and NO dogs. Listen to the sounds of the bush whilst sitting around the fire in the boma, or enjoy a romantic evening under the African sky and let the strains and stresses of every day life just flow out of you. The fully furnished unit has a large, open-plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a second living area with an additional two single beds. The cottage has a braai area and splash pool that adds to the enjoyment of the natural bush. There is a lovely viewing deck overlooking the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park. Wild animals such as kudu, zebra, giraffe and warthog wander freely around the cottage. At night you can hear the roar of lions and the call of the hyena. The grunting of hippos in the river add to the magic of the bushveld. Marloth Park has its own adjoining wildlife reserve and boasts four of the big 5 with the exception of elephant however, as the crocodile river forms the boundary between Marloth Park and the Kruger National Park, you are likely to spot elephants playing in the river.
