About Bush Cottage

Bush Cottage occupies a prime position with uninterrupted views across the Crocodile River, into Kruger Park. It’s just a few metres from the bank of the Crocodile River and a stroll along the river in search of game such as elephant, lion, hippo, crocodile, rhino, leopard, buffalo and cheetah.

Marloth Park's river track and a network of unpaved roads are ideal for walking, jogging and cycling with family and friends in a bushveld environment. Bush Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing, fun-filled, self-catering bush break. There is a welcoming blend of bush-veld charm and style.

The cottage is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom facilities; crisp, fresh linen and bath sheets. Double doors open onto a large tiled verandah with splash pool, paved braai area, bush braai or bonfire pit.

Marloth Park is a Wildlife Conservancy; home to free-ranging wild game including kudu, giraffe, impala, zebra, baboon, warthog, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, ostrich and the occasional leopard, lion or cheetah that drops in for a visit.

Basic supplies, fuel, ATMs, sports bar and restaurants are found in Marloth Park. Bush Cottage is ideally located for day trips into Kruger Park via Crocodile Bridge and Malelane Gates, Swaziland via Jeppes Reef and Mozambique via Komatipoort.

Marloth Park is 100 km from Nelspruit along the N4 highway which provides easy access to a host of tourist destinations including the Sabie, White River, Hazyview areas, Pilgrim’s Rest, The Blyde River Canyon, Chimp Eden, Elephant Sanctuary, Cheetah Breeding Project and much more.

Enjoyed our stay which we unfortunately had to cut short. We left a day early due to the imminent storm. The cottage was fine - we have lived there before - but the seating in the lounge area is still abysmal. It also looks like the cottage does not get cleaned regularly as everything was covered in dust and cobwebs. The rubbish bags also had not been collected from outside for who knows when. Apart from that I would still go back to this cottage although it is expensive, my wife and I can stay [email protected] on the north coast cheaper than these tariffs.

We had such a wonderful stay at Bush cottage. Very clean and comfortable little home away from home. My husband fed a Kudu and we had a few monkeys peeking through the windows in the morning and also a wildebeest mom and her baba come eat some feed right in front of us. Wis we booked it for longer but I am sure Bush Cottage will see us again.
