Situated in close proximity to the renowned Augrabies Falls and in the heart of South Africa’s largest export table-grape producing region, Dundi is a cool, quiet and convenient retreat for both leisure and corporate visitors to the region. Tranquil and spacious interiors open on to a central courtyard and pool area, while our popular restaurant is an ideal venue to entertain clients, celebrate with friends or simply enjoy a delicious meal with select wines at the end of a busy day. Stylish accommodation (11) is well-appointed and with guests needs carefully considered. The Dundi airstrip allows for the convenience of charter flights into the region; and our sister operation Kalahari Out ventures offer a range of river activities including rafting, fly fishing, nature paddles and overnight safaris, which can be booked. Also available (by arrangement) on our private game reserve is a three hour game drive on open game-viewers with professional guides to view some of Africa’s big game in a region known for its spectacular scenery. Dundi Lodge is also the perfect stop over en route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park or flying enthusiasts on a fly-in safari. Augrabies Backpackers is the legendary base of a whole generation of river and desert adventure people. We offer guided half-day river rafting trips on the Lower Orange River as well as hot air-balloon rides over the Kalahari Desert. Lounge in the shade, take a dip in the dam, and enjoy the seasonal organic fruit. One thing is certain, one night is never enough. Accommodation is offered in six rooms, sleeping up to 16 guests. Features include a bar on site and a dam to cool off in. Laundry services are also available for guests' convenience. We are situated just 10 km from the Augrabies Falls National Park, making it an excellent base from which to explore the area. Activities include various day hikes and walks as well as a portion directly alongside the middle gorge.

This is the ideal stopover for guests travelling to Namibia, Augrabies Waterfall or the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. There are lovely self-catering chalets, en-suite guest rooms, and a family unit available. Each unit is equipped with air-conditioning, a TV with DStv access, Wi-Fi connection, a bar fridge, a microwave, extra blankets and towels, as well as braai facilities. Guests can relax in the garden, under shaded trees while listening to the birdlife. Children can also play on the spacious lawns with fencing around. Amenities on the farm include a swimming pool, a communal lapa with braai facilities, a fully equipped gym and a trampoline. Spa treatments can also be arranged on request.

Kgalagadi-Lodge is located near to the South African entrance of Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park. The lodge offers six Standard Units with twin beds and six Family Units with twin beds and a sleeper couch for two children. Each chalet features an en-suite bathroom, linen and towels, air-conditioning and a TV with DStv. There is also an outside kitchen as well as braai facilities on the patio so that guests are able to enjoy some outdoor living. Tea and coffee facilities are provided. In addition, there are 19 campsites on the property, each accommodating six people and featuring an electricity- and a water point. Some of the campsites have communal ablutions and others have private ablution facilities. Hot water showers are also available. The lodge offers a shop where guests can buy local meat products and freshly baked products, and is open an hour before and after the Twee Rivieren Gate times. Guests arriving late are able to order picnics that will be left in their room for arrival. A restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch for both guests and those driving into the park, and an ATM is available for guests' convenience. Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park is alive with abundant bird- and wild life, however guests require a 4x4 to make their way along the roads as they can be quite rough. Kgalagadi-Lodge offers day tours with their experienced guides. Alternatively for 4x4 enthusiasts, guests can be taken on an adventure tour with their own vehicles through the red sands of the Kalahari dunes.

Plato Lodge is a lovely thatched lodge located in the Northern Cape of South Africa, approximately 50 km from the Augrabies Falls. The nearby Augrabies Falls National Park is a national park located around the Augrabies Falls, about 120 km west of Upington. The Augrabies Falls National Park is an arid area that stretches along the Orange River and the waterfall is about 60 m high, and is awe-inspiring when the river is in flood. The original Khoikhoi people named the waterfall Ankoerebis, meaning the place of big noises. The Trekboers who later settled in the area derived the name Augrabies. The name is sometimes spelt Aughrabies. We offer canoe trips, two to three hour trips and also multiple day trips. Accommodation is offered in twin or double rooms, each containing either a king-size bed or a twin single beds, a shower en-suite, mini-bar, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a balcony. The lodge offers braai and bar facilities. On-site parking is available.

Kheis Riverside Lodge is the perfect stop over tourists, avid campers or travellers just looking to get away. The lovely lodge offers a choice of comfortable chalets or campsites. The eight chalets are fully equipped for self-catering, with an open-plan living area. The chalets also offer guests beautiful views of the grounds and surroundings. The 10 campsites are located along the river bank, and each site has a private barbecue area and electricity is also provided. For guests wanting breakfast, lunch or dinner, this can be provided by the lodge's guest house, Grape Vine Guest House, about 10 km from the lodge. A lapa is also available for conference needs. Fishing is a big attraction for anglers from all over the country, and for bird-watchers, there are 150 identified species in the area. Hiking trails can be found alongside the Orange River and water channels, and a 4x4 route is located on the nearby game farm for amateurs, within walking distance from the lodge. Situated next to the river, various water activities can be enjoyed, from tube riding, canoeing down the river or simply relaxing and swimming. Life jackets are available on request. Sundowner game drives and horseback riding are also available on request.

Enter the true nature of comfort at Spitskop Nature Reserve and Kalahari Monate Lodge, where the fusion of nature and hospitality is unequalled. You are welcomed to a reserve which, in essence, is a fine example of the famous Kalahari Desert. The reserve is situated 13 km north of Upington, en route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, and measures 5641 hectares. It derives its name from a prominent steep rocky hill close to the entrance. According to archaeologists, Spitskop was formed by the earth’s crust being eroded away and after many, many years only the harden rock remained, based on the fact that it is granite. This beacon from the earth has been a landmark used by all since the first nomadic travellers, and on a clear day, can be seen from up to 40 km away. Kalahari Monate Lodge is situated just across from the entrance to Spitskop Nature Reserve. This new lodge consists of six luxurious self-catering, fully furnished chalets with air-conditioning, as well as camping facilities with very neat ablution blocks. There is also a swimming pool for guests to cool off in. Barbecue and camping facilities with ablution blocks can be found in the camping ground, and the lodge also offers two thatched lapas and a small kiosk. Kalahari Monate Lodge offers an abundance of birdlife for bird enthusiasts. There are also various game species in the area, including gemsbok, springbok, zebra, eland, steenbok, wildebeest, camel, suricate, and ostrich. A telescope on the hill allows guests to view wildlife or enjoy the landscape. There is 37 km of gravel road through the park if you wish to go on a self-drive game-viewing trip, and three hiking trails are also available.
