    Desert Gem
Keimoes is an amazing place - a little gem in very dry surrounds.

    Definitely worth a visit
Keimoes is a pretty little town that doesn’t offer much itself other than great views, but the surrounding area has much to offer for the explorer. Augrabies Falls is a must, as is the Bazlel Wine Farm!

    `n Juweel van `n dorp
~n Baie mooi en rustige dorpie in die Noord kaap.On shet vanaf Calvinis via kenhardt daar aangekom en bly gesoek. Ons het By Overlook oorgeslaap. Wat `n pargtige plek! Die rondwawel was eerste klas en die uitsig baie mooi en ontspanne. Keimoes is naby Augrabies en die mense is vriendelik en behulpsaam.

    Keimoes
Keimoes is situated on the Orange River It is surrounded by green vineyards and is very picturesque There is an old water mill on the canal which is till in working order . Keimoes is a very convenient stopover for travellers from Cape Town to Kgalagadi National Park .. We usually sleep over in Keimoes and so can reach the Park Gates at about 2 pm the following day after stopping in Upington to get provisions

Keimoes was definitely more "country mouse" than "town mouse", but the accommodation on offer was cosy and comfortable. The pace of life seemed to mirror the undulating river which flows through the town centre...slow and steady. An old ox wagon was 'parked' outside one of the General Dealers and the Old Watermill and vineyards provided a picturesque backdrop to the late Saturday afternoon traffic - a tractor meandering down the Main...
