We only slept over and not make use of any facilities, but it was quite cold that night in Swellendam and the accommodation was not geared for the cold. The place was tidy and clean but the linen was very old and with lots of cigaret burns and the towels started to unravel.

The Family or Self Catering Cottage has a full en-suite bathroom, a double bed and two bunk beds (6 sleeper). There is a dorm room and four double wooden cabins in the large tree covered garden to choose from. Swellendam Backpackers also has Safari tents on offer or if you would prefer to make use of your own tent, there is a camping area so large you may need a map or GPS to find your way around. The rooms are large, spacious and airy.

| We have 5 wooden cabins in a large tree covered garden to choose from. Two of which has twin beds in, two has double beds in and one with a double bed + single bed. The cabins has no electricity we use lanterns. Very cozy and comfortable. |
