We invite you to join us for an adventure, an experience, an authentic essence of Kenya’s most independent people and to learn to live with them today as they have lived for generations.

We organise exciting itineraries to beautiful wilderness locations in small, exclusive groups. Our trips are fun, comfortable, exciting and occasionally challenging. They will take you to remote areas where you will spend your days outdoors in landscapes untouched by the modern world, and where essential comforts are all catered for.

Guests stay in our elegant tented camp, in cosy four-poster beds in safari tents pitched in the shade, overlooking the river. Each tent has its own bathroom and hot shower, hidden in the thicket with great views.

We will treat you to delicious western-style meals and snacks, nourishing and well balanced to replenish your energies yet light enough to be enjoyable in the heat of the bush. There is a mess area where we enjoy our meals together, often in the company of ground squirrels, kingfishers, starlings and many other pretty birds. We then spend the nights comfortably chatting around the bonfire.

The camp is located in the Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy, in northern Laikipia, close to Nanyuki and Isiolo towns. The 16 500 hectare conservancy is owned and managed by the Laikipiak Maasai.

Cassin’s Bush Camp is a rustic self-catering camp situated on the banks of the West Lunga River, approximately 2 km upstream of the Luakera River confluence and 15 km south of the DRC border, on the 15,000-hectare Nkwaji Wildlife Game Ranch.

The bush camp derives its name from the normally elusive cassin’s grey flycatcher, who has been a welcome resident and can be seen flying up and down the river daily. The pristine surrounds of the West Lunga River are fringed with Mushitu, palms, orchids and grassy dambo’s, and the bird variety is reflected by this changing habitat.

The camp consists of four double classic safari tents and one family tent, with rustic en-suite bathrooms that each feature flushing toilets, showers and hand basins. The tented dining area, with fly-screen doors, includes a large dining area. Outside, next to the veranda, is an al fresco bar counter with a sink.

The camp and its surrounds are an absolute birder's paradise, and day trips can be enjoyed in the area. Here, in the most north-west corner of Zambia, Mwinilunga and its surrounds has some extensive Miombo areas, but some parts are heavily settled. The Nkwaji Forests in contrast are totally uncut and pristine. Between the two areas there is an exciting array of birds to be seen.

Kulalu Camp is one of Kenya’s best kept secrets; just 110 km west of the coastal towns of Malindi and Watamu, and only two hours’ drive away from Galana and Kulalu Ranches, deep in the heart of Kenya’s bush land on 1.4 million acres of pristine Africa.

The camp consists of five spacious tents, two doubles, one which can also be used as a family tent with a bunk bed, and three twins each with en-suite, flushing toilet and a safari shower. Each tent is thoughtfully positioned to ensure a breathtaking view of the Galana River.

Kulalu Camp is environmentally friendly, being powered by solar panels. The dining and lounge area is a semi-permanent makuti palm-thatch building. This provides a safe and comfortable place to quietly watch the game and bird activity along the river bank or to spend the hot afternoons with a cool drink and a book. The river location provides brilliant opportunities to be sitting relaxing on your veranda while watching the wildlife come and drink from the river in the morning and late afternoon.

Food at Kulalu is absolutely delicious and Justus will be your chef while you stay with us, transforming the mess into a haven of culinary delight. Justus is an experienced bush chef who provides country house cooking using fresh produce that is bought in from Malindi. All the more incredible considering it is prepared in a traditionally styled mobile camp kitchen and food is prepared using a safari oven, a large metal box covered in a large pile of glowing embers. Feast on full English breakfast’s, light lunches and three course dinners as you look out over the Galana River.

Safaris are a great way to see and learn about Africa’s fabulous wildlife. Game viewing on Galana Ranch can deliver an unforgettable safari experience providing an undeveloped wilderness that is home to some of Kenya’s most spectacular animal species.

Blouberg is a 9300-hectare provincial government-owned nature reserve in the Limpopo Province. It offers guests the exciting opportunity to experience a rich diversity of plant and animal life in rustic accommodation along the mixed bushveld, woodland and riverine.

Accommodation on offer includes the Mashatu Camp which consists of four family cottages, the Tamboti Bush Camp with safari tents, Molope Campsites and the Modumele Wilderness Camp, a more rustic experience and not for the faint hearted.

Due to the presence of dangerous game, only guided hikes are permitted and self-drive game drives are possible, preferably using a vehicle with a high ground clearance. To access the southern region a 4x4 is required and vehicles may not be driven off existing roads. Travellers need to always be aware of their surroundings when disembarking from vehicles as a confrontation with a buffalo or a leopard is always a possibility.

Animals found on the reserve include Cape buffalo, giraffe, eland, sable, waterbuck, gemsbok, red hartebeest, zebra, kudu, bushbuck, impala, mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, steenbok, duiker, warthog and bushpig. Predators recorded are leopard, cheetah, caracal, brown and spotted hyena, and numerous small mammals like civet, red spotted genet and African wildcat.

The bird list stands at more than 230 species of which the flagship for the reserve is the Cape vulture. The breeding colony hosts more than 650 breeding pairs and forms a stronghold for this threatened species in southern Africa. Visitors can view these birds at close range, especially during winter months at the Vulture Restaurant when they come to bathe daily at the waterhole.

Less than an hour by plane from Arusha, this seasonal luxury tented camp in the Serengeti is located amid the largest and most varied concentration of wildlife on the African continent. The Serengeti, home of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra, provides the best chance of seeing the Big 5. Mwanga Moto is comprised of eight spacious guest tents, plus a main tent with dining area, lounge, game room and library. The camp is repositioned three times each year within the Serengeti to maintain close proximity to the Great Migration, one of nature’s most amazing spectacles.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the main attraction, and our customized safari vehicles are specially designed for use in rugged African bush. These Toyota Land Cruisers are open-sided and open-topped, which allows for uninterrupted game viewing. It is possible to see multiple prides of lion, the rare nocturnal serval cat before breakfast, and thousands of wildebeest before lunch, not to mention countless zebra, giraffe, elephant, hyena, cheetahs and hippos.

But here in the Serengeti, it is all about the Great Migration. Since our camp is repositioned three times each season, it is always within striking distance, so expect a game drive to see the enormous herds of wildebeest as they make their endless journey.

Like all our guests, you will be dazzled by the quality and sheer variety of dishes our chefs can prepare in the middle of the bush. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in camp before heading out on an early morning game drive. Lunch is provided in the bush, and there are always snacks and drinks on the vehicles. The African sundowner, or happy hour, is an important part of each day, and will materialise in the most unexpected places, allowing for the well-fortified enjoyment of yet another sublime Serengeti sunset.

Finally, after a long but exciting day of game viewing, take a well-deserved hot shower before adjourning to the campfire for pre-dinner cocktails and wines. Dinners at Mwanga Moto are a three or four-course affair complemented by a selection of fine wines. After a delightful dinner, relax in the library with cognac and cigars on offer.

Kakuli is a seasonal bush camp on the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa rivers. For many it marks the end of a walking safari from camp to camp following the course of the Luwi River. Whether Kakuli is used as a stopover in the middle of a walking trail or as a base for a more static wildlife safari, the game viewing and night drive safaris in this area are some of the best in Zambia.

There are four spacious, traditional safari tents under shady thatched roofs, each with an open-air bathroom. All of the tents overlook the river with stunning views up and down this hippo-packed stretch of the Luangwa. A lovely thatched chitenje acts as the centre of camp. It is on a wooden deck overlooking the grazing lawn that leads down to the two rivers and is a perfect spot in which to relax and watch the river and the wildlife meander by.

Guests are able to decide each day if they want to venture out on foot or with the vehicle. Most evenings however, you will want to explore the area after dark. This stretch of the Luangwa is fantastic for wildlife. It is bustling with predators and the best time to see them in action is during those first few hours of darkness. Night drive safaris from Kakuli have been known to provide guests with some of the most exciting game viewing in Zambia. It is certain that your wildlife safari at Kakuli will be one to remember.

Kakuli is one of the few Zambian bushcamps to open in February and March. At this time of year the river is high, we gain access by boat and activities are either on the river or on foot in the drier, sandy areas that surround camp.
