The Swartberg Hiking Trail presents a scenic but tough trek through fynbos over the Swartberg Mountains. There are three starting points: on the Oudtshoorn side, at De Hoek and from the Old Toll overnight cottage in the Swartberg Pass. Less fit hikers can chose the shortest route. Winter conditions can be extreme with occasional snowfalls. Duration: 2 days Difficulty: Tough Distance: 12.8 km (Day 1) and 13 km (Day 2)
