This lovely guest house offers six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Each room is air-conditioned and has a heater for those colder nights. The rooms also have TVs with DStv. Linen, towels and tea and coffee facilities are provided.

There are various en-suite guest rooms available, with private terraces overlooking the surrounding bushveld. All the rooms are equipped with telephones, TVs with DStv access, safety boxes, air-conditioning, working desks, tea and coffee facilities, fans, bar fridges and complimentary toiletries.

Our a-la-carte restaurant will ensure delicious cuisine for all taste buds, while the well-stocked bar is ready to quench your thirst. We also have a Boma on the premises for social braais, where you can enjoy a traditional South African ‘Dop and Tjop’.

The fully equipped conference centre can accommodate up to 300 people, and the smaller meeting room is ideal for more intimate gatherings. The conference centre and restaurant are also ideal for weddings or any other function.

There is a tar road that links the main road with all the buildings on the farm. The rooms are within walking distance to reception, the bar and restaurant, the gym, and the large swimming pool.

As the lodge is located on a game farm, it boasts a wide array of game that can often be seen around the rooms and restaurant. A wide array of bird life can also be seen, including the crimson-breasted shrike.

Die Watergat offers rooms within walking distance of the restaurant and bar, and each room offers a lovely view of the garden, river or the swimming pool. The Guesthouse offers eleven lovely rooms with shared bathrooms. Each room has a TV with DStv and airconditioning. Tea and coffee facilities are provided.

Another five rooms share a shower-only bathroom and are furnished with three-quarter or twin beds. A TV with DStv is available and tea and coffee facilities. These rooms are also equipped for self-catering.

The thirty-nine Luxury En-suite Rooms are furnished with double or single beds and have air-conditioning. Tea and coffee facilities as well as a TV with DStv are in the rooms.

The log cabin serves as the Honeymoon Suite with a double en-suite room and lovely garden views. The room is air-conditioned and has tea and coffee facilities.

The restaurant serves an à la carte menu and this is where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is well known in the area for its tender steaks and famous Watergat Burger. Lunch packs are available on request.

Enjoy the lovely bushveld scenery and river view from the deck at the bar or restaurant.

Spitbraais, braais and buffet lunches are available on request and guests are welcome to join in on the Friday night braai. A big screen TV is available at the bar plus 5 LPM slot machines.

Various activities can be enjoyed from horse riding, swimming, quad biking, birdwatching and tube riding on the river after the rains. The bushveld surroundings accommodate a vast array of bird life, making it perfect for birdwatching.

The town of Burgersfort was named after a hexagonal fort built during the 1876-77 Second War against the Bapedi of Chief Sekhukhune and is today surrounded by various mines.

The guest house originally consisted of only 12 rooms, but have since grown to 23 en-suite rooms.
