Underberg is s very small town and does not have a lot of entertainment for children. There is not a lot of shops available to 'shop till you drop' but the necessities are all there. Spar is well equipped with everyting you need and the other shops has alternatives. It is a very moody weather area and do prepare yourself for summer to winter in 2 days, where you would need a heater in the middle of december.Overall it is a lovely area where you can relax and have a lovely quite time

Great little Dorp - definitely a town to go back too
Underberg is the second closest town to the Sani Pass (+- 20kms), first is Himeville. We were there in Autumn and weather was great. There are lovely coffee shops and independently run restaurants. The people are friendly, and welcome visitors to there town.If one is doing the Sani Pass for a 4X4 mountain route experience, the Sani Pass is challenging. If one wants an extreme 4X4 mountain route we highly recommend one drives from Sani Pass to Katse Dam, that's extremely challenging, lots of fun and makes the Sani Pass drive seem easy.
