Small, friendly town
Springbok is a small, clean, friendly town with all the basic necessities and altogether very pleasant. It's a lovely place to stay over on the N7. Don't expect a big metropolis, but you'll find what you need to refuel and refresh. It's a very beautiful region: dry, like the rest of the Northern Cape, but unspoilt and lovely.
Well-deserved UNESCO site
It was the highlight of my trip and I went right around South Africa including the Kruger Park, Cape Town and the Drakensberg. I sent all my postcards from there!Elkoweru organised a trip just for me to see the flowers around Springbok which was gorgeous but the flowers were blooming everywhere in town incl on the footpaths. A funny little town, a bit like a bush town in Australia, my native country, but more exotic for the flowers and the "bushmen".
