Duiwekloof is an exquisite destination in the Baviaanskloof. The magnificent lodge with stone finishes, low impact roof and driftwood supports make for a beautiful structure which enhances the unique surroundings. The lodge consists of 4 self catering units, a large covered lounge and entertainment area. The natural swimming pool is supplied by water piped from the mountain. There is no electricity on the farm. Lights, warm water, stoves and fridges are gas driven. Facilities are suitable for the physically disabled. Please take note that a R100 refundable breakage deposit is payable on arrival.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and has three bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Two of the rooms are furnished with double beds and have ceiling fans, while the third room is furnished with a single bed. An additional single bed is located in the entrance hall. All the rooms have oil heaters, linen and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a gas stove and oven, an antique wood burning stove and Cape Dutch baking oven; a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge-freezer. An iron is also provided and a private braai area is located next to the kitchen. Guests can enjoy their meals in the open-plan dining room or relax in the lounge. Surrounded by tranquil mountain scenery, there are various walking routes suitable for young and old, and the area also provides 4x4 routes, sightseeing, game viewing and birdwatching. The century-old house has been beautifully renovated with a slightly earthy touch to provide a tranquil and sheltered refuge amongst the rugged terrain of the kloof. The Cedar Farmhouse has four bedrooms; one bedroom has a king-size bed and three bedrooms have twin beds. There are two luxurious bathrooms with baths and one has a shower in addition to the private outside shower. A spacious lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful wrap-around veranda make you feel comfortable and at home. Close to the house is a braai area set in a landscaped indigenous garden – a stunning setting for star-filled nights around the fire. Just-for-Two has a bedroom with a king-size bed and a very private open-air bathroom with a bath and shower. There is a well-equipped kitchen with an old wood burning heater stove. There is no electricity but paraffin lamps provide light at night. Cob Cottage has an open-plan fully equipped kitchen with gas appliances for self-catering guests. We offer two self-catering cottages, one en-suite room and five shady Campsites with electricity, water, lights, a large outside braai area and clean ablutions. A charming thatched lapa is available for the use of our guests. It comes complete with a licensed bar and an indoor braai, as well as a pool table for evening entertainment. There is a big screen TV for those who do not want to miss out on their sports. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available upon request. Beautifully handmade ox wagons, home-made jams, roasted coffee, honey bush tea, biltong, dried fruit and ice are for sale at Uitspan. There is a formal hiking trail into the beautiful Houtkloof that takes about an hour and a half, with magnificent examples of indigenous tree and plant life such as white stinkwood, wild olive and wild fig. Opportunities abound for birdwatching and mountain climbing. Other activities include 4x4 trails and mountain biking. For cooling off on those hot summer days, there is a dam for swimming and a rope slide. For those interested in past cultures, there is San rock art to be seen in a nearby cave.

Bo-Kloof offers a cottage, a guest house and seven beautiful spots for camping. Kolgans Cottage is a beautifully situated wooden cottage, sleeping a maximum of four people. The guest house offers beds for up to 6 people. One bedroom has a double and two single beds, the second room has two single beds and also serves as kitchen. Linen and towels are provided. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and cutlery and crockery. Dinner and breakfast is available for those who prefer not to self-cater. The campsite is about 1.5 km from the guest house. The shared ablution block consists of four flush toilets and two hot water showers. Electricity is available in the ablution block, but not at the stands. Guests should bring their own extension cords. Seven stands are available, with three of the stands big enough to cater for groups with two to four vehicles and tents. We try not to have more than 40 people in the campsite at one time. Depending on the amount of rainfall, a pond is nearby for swimming. Activities in and around Bo-Kloof include horse riding, hiking or mountain biking and birdwatching. Enjoy the 8 km 4x4 route that will take you to the top of the southern mountain range. Rock climbing enthusiasts can get their permits from Bo-Kloof reception and enjoy Waterkloof. This hike is easily accessible and can take one and a half hours to complete, although you would want to spend your day there.

Blydefontein Tented Camp is located in the Rietbron district, between Willowmore and Beaufort West, and provides a wonderful outdoor experience in the depths of the Karoo. The camp is situated in an old riverbed surrounded by shady Karoo bush; guests can really get to grips with the outdoors without having to rough it since bedding and tents are provided for all convenience. Guests have a choice of staying in one of three Chopper Tents that are each furnished with two comfortable single beds. The three Military-type Tents can sleep up to 10 campers on mattresses and are deal for groups and families with children. Guests can make use of the showers with hot water provided by a donkey boiler, and the toilets are long drops. The tents have solar-powered lighting, there is a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue facilities, and firewood is for sale. Campers can go hiking, hire a quad bike and do a trail, do one of the 60 km 4x4 trails which are rated three to four, test your fitness on the obstacle course, view rock art or hire a horse and go horseback riding.

The jewel of South Africa's wilderness areas, the Baviaanskloof conservancy, borders the historical property Zandvlakte in the centre of the Baviaanskloof valley. The private family farm offers units all built in a unique style. It includes family units sleeping up to six people and fully equipped self-catering units. Two of the units do not have electricity, only candles and gas. You will still find the original ceilings and yellowwood floors at the farmsteads, dating back to the early 1900s. Guests should be aware that there are no restaurants in this remote area and meals at our establishment need to be pre-booked. Full farm breakfasts and three-course buffet dinners are available. The flat is near the owner´s house and ideal for those wishing to book a meal.
