De Meye is a wonderful, family-owned winery located in Stellenbosch. The wine is produced from grapes acquired on the estate, and includes Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, and Chenin blanc. The estate is open for tastings, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00, Saturdays and public holidays from 9:00 to 14:00, and Sundays from 11:00 to 15:00.

Situated in Stellenboschkloof and flanked by the Bottelary Hills and Papegaaiberg Mountain, Neethlingshof is just outside Stellenbosch and is well worth a visit. Driving up the imposing stone pine avenue, a stunning vista unfolds complete with pristine Cape Dutch buildings, rolling green vineyards and a cosy cellar where the full range of wines may be tasted and purchased. Wine Tasting and Sales: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 10:00 – 16:00. The estate closes two hours later in the summer months. Assegaaibosch Nature Reserve offers three walking trails through a wide variety of fynbos species. The reserve was once a wildflower garden that is no longer cultivated and visitors are welcome to explore the garden. Route B starts at the picnic site by way of the junction signs before returning to the start. Don't miss visiting the freshwater aquarium at the Assegaaibosch conservation station.
