It is strategically located on N1 if you are travelling between Johannesburg and Capetown almost midway. It was a big room with 2 double beds, neat and tidy had microwave and DStv sports.Considering small town prices are on higher side as I got better place at less price in Capetown and Knysna.Overall not bad.
Good and clean facilities. Restaurant served good food!
We had 2 rooms to accommodate 7 of us for an overnight stay whilst travelling from Johannesburg to the Eastern Cape; we arrived early to be welcomed by friendly happy staff, we were able to check in early and provided with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
After a long and tiring drive we were happy to check in to the hotel and managed to have a good rest. The staff however were very unfriendly and totally stubborn to the point where they wouldn't even look up when you are waiting right in front of them at the reception desk. The room was not properly cleaned as we found half a packet of chips that wasn't ours. The air-con is outdated and noisy.Communication to reception was not possible as the phone in the room wasn't working at all.Oh and a warning for people with kids the garden was infested with thorns which they also dont warn you about please... see more
I will not recommend this place if you need a good rest, firstly we were told our booking was cancelled but they could not produce any proof, we had to wait while they sorted this out. Once that was done they did no care to check whether we were settled but were concerned about us settling the rest of the bill before even checking out. We didn't feel welcomed and couldn't wait to leave the place in the morning.
