I had the pleasure of sharing the main house of Rachel's House for three days, and I can vouch for the home-away-from-home feeling.
There was some concern that her two dogs would be a hindrance, but they were so lovable that I threatened to take one back to Ireland with me.
For a quiet place to stay close to the city centre, without the confines of a hotel room or single B&B room, I can recommend staying here as I will be doing so again in the future.

Great spot and lovely guest house. I felt well looked after. The place is great and highly recommend it to anyone. Rachel couldn't be nicer. She even regularly emailed by family to let them know how I was doing.

Rachel is an amazingly friendly lady.She went all out to keep us warm and made us feel at home.Her place really is homely.I will surely stay there the next time I'm in Cape Town.Will definitely tell colleagues and friends xoxoxo

We enjoyed our stay of one night extended to five. Rachel is an excellent host. Her warm and caring personality accompanied the comfort and peace in her home. We would recommend Rachel's house to anyone who wants to retire for a night in tranquility in a blessed home. The unique style of this guest house is one of fantasy, very intriguing, and accommodates something that will grasp the mind of everyone – you don’t even have to look that far – just relax and enjoy…
