You are cordially invited to come and enjoy the tranquil environment at De Old Drift Guest Farm either as a break on your travels or as a base for your holiday. We are situated next to the Sunday River, which is convenient for guests who enjoy fishing.
You can sit on your private patio and experience the tranquility of nature. Sometimes Kudu, Nyala and Rooibok come down from the hills to drink at the river.

Short walking trails and a rich birdlife can be enjoyed. As mentioned, we are only 10 minutes drive from the Addo Elephant National Park. Game drives can be organized for you.

Each hut is traditionally built with mud and dung, and offers spacious and comfortable Eco-friendly accommodation. All standard and luxury huts have en-suite bathrooms with shower, basin and toilet, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, alarm clock/radios and hairdryers.

The larger Luxury huts are also equipped with a fridge, air conditioning, a lounge area with sleeper couch and dressing room. A lounging Lapa overlooks a large salt water swimming pool. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

The Elephant House is a small exclusive lodge only minutes away from the Addo Elephant Park. Situated on a beautiful race horse stud and surrounded by rolling lawns and indigenous trees this is the perfect place to return to after a hot day in the bush.

The lodge, with its thatched roof, wide verandas and exceptional service is reminiscent of the old colonial safari experience. The antiques, superior fabrics and the owner's private collection of Africana art gives on the feeling of cosseted luxury.

The eight luxury rooms are all individually decorated and guarantee that the guest has a truly relaxing experience. Four rooms are twin bedded and four rooms are queen bedded. Every evening the drinks tray is brought out for sundowners and dinner is a sumptuous candle lit affair.

Spend the day exploring the Addo Park or Shamwari game reserve or relax around the pool. A number of half day tours of the Sundays River Valley are available whilst Shamwari Game Reserve and Schotia Safaris are only half an hour away, making this the perfect base from which to visit all the attractions in the Addo area.

You will find Addo Dung Beetle Guest Farm resting on its own mountain top near the heart of the Sundays River valley, the largest Citrus producing area in the Eastern Cape Province and overlooking the beautiful Zuurberg Mountains. Our five luxury chalets are found on a working citrus farm only 4 km away from the main gate of the Addo Elephant National Park. Although rain is prevalent in summer, we are a Malaria free area. Whether you are looking for a luxurious holiday or fun-filled adventure, you are sure to have a memorable stay in our beautiful part of the country. Chalets are, elegantly decorated and equipped with air-conditioners with a heating option. All the bedside tables and headboards are made from a combination of local wood species found in the area, like Yellow Wood, Oak, Sneeze Wood, and Black Wood. The Sneeze Wood chandeliers found throughout the chalets and in the Lapa are made out of old fence posts that were in use a few years ago, and are termite prufe. Bathrooms are en-suite and have indoor and outdoor showers to suit your needs. There are also porcupine quills lamp shades found in the bathrooms and the lapa, which were handmade by the owner. Our activities cater for both the adventure seeker and relaxer and a complete file of all the activities can be viewed at the reception area. We also have a list of tour packages available. Rosedale Farm is an eco-friendly Bed and Breakfast 12 km from the Addo Elephant National Park. We are 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth, in the beautiful Sundays River Valley. This is a malaria free area, where you can have exciting encounters with the 'Big 5'.

You will be welcome in our secure and comfortable thatched cottages, surrounded by citrus groves, which we farm naturally - we have used no dangerous chemicals on the farm since 2000. We have 6 rooms, each with en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms are big enough to squeeze in an extra bed or cot for your children.

We grow and source as much food locally as what we can. Breakfasts are substantial, and include organic home baked bread, orange juice and preserves. If you need a late breakfast after an early morning game drive, that’s fine by us.

We are situated in the heart of Addo, just a couple of minutes from restaurants, pubs, ATM's and a number of fun and educational activities that will make your stay one to remember.

We can also give you a guided tour of the farm, to show you how we farm in harmony with nature.

Rose Cottage – situated at the far end of our gardens this cottage affords lots of privacy. Twin beds, full bathroom, kitchenette and lounge area (with day bed) that leads out to an enclosed patio and private garden. Serenity and Tranquillity Flatlets – these flatlets are situated below the main farmhouse and perfect for a group of 4/5 traveling together. They have their own entrances, en suites and a sheltered patio and lovely garden for your enjoyment. Lavender and Agapanthus Rooms – these two rooms are situated in the main farmhouse with beautiful views and have their own private lounge and patio looking out over the orchards, pool and gardens. Shared separate full bathroom. After a day of game viewing come home for a swim, take a stroll through the orchards or simply relax in the well established gardens enjoying the incredible birdlife and vistas over the orchards. B&B and Self Catering options available. Situated in the heart of the Sundays River Valley we are 10 minutes from the Addo Elephant Park and in easy reach of many private game reserves in the area. Day and night game drives in the different reserves/parks can be booked by your hosts. For the more adventurous canoe and horse trails, elephant back rides, 4x4 trails, fishing trips and hiking can also be arranged.
