Calmswood Guest House is situated in the beautiful leafy suburb of Kloof, and thus enjoys the cooler, less humid climate experienced at the top of Field’s Hill. The easy access to the M13 freeway means that Pinetown and New Germany are only ten minutes away, and it’s just 25 minutes to Durban, and the beaches. Calmswood is thus ideal for the business traveler wishing to escape the city, but still have the convenience.

For those at leisure the Guest House makes a good base from which to explore the various attractions of the Valley of 1000 Hills area, or further inland to Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands Meander, or of course Durban, the Sun Coast Casino, the stadiums, and the coast.

The many shopping centers of Kloof and Hillcrest are just minutes away and will provide all the services you need. In addition the large regional shopping mall, The Pavilion, is a ten minute drive down the M13. The area is well served by numerous quality pubs and restaurants to be enjoyed at your leisure.

The accommodation offered at Calmswood are four individually decorated double rooms, all en-suite, with heater, ceiling fan, TV, radio/alarm clock, and tea/coffee tray. A lovely, large swimming pool in the garden is a good place to relax in warmer weather. A cosy pub opens out onto the pool area. Secure on-site parking, with individual access control, is provided.
