August stay at Anchor's Rest,04 September 2006
From the moment we arrived at Anchor's Rest; it felt like home ... away from home. Our hosts (Peter & Cilla) made us feel very comfortable.
The room we occupied was decorated well and is maintained with great care! The daily breakfasts we enjoyed were absolutely mouth-watering ~ what a treat!!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Anchor's Rest and would love to re-visit it sometime soon!!

Anchor's Rest 4 star accommodation, offers guests 3 luxury self catering suites, 1 luxury two roomed B&B suite and 1 standard B&B room. Rooms have private entrance and patio with BBQ facilities, air-conditioning, plus ceiling fans, DSTV, hospitality tray and fridge. Wireless internet available throughout the guesthouse and business centre for sending and receiving e-mails.
Linen is 100% percale cotton with high quality towels and complimentary bathroom toiletries.
Breakfast is a sumptuous feast and is served from 07h00 to 09h00 during the week and 08h00 to 10h00 on week-ends and public holidays.
Anchor's Rest is within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and coffee bars. For 'keep fit' enthusiasts the Umhlanga Promenade is just 2 blocks away and is ideal for jogging and walking along as it extends for 2.5 kms alongside the shoreline.
Off street parking and a solar heated pool is provided for guests’ comfort.
Airport transfers can be arranged at competitive rates for guests.
The deep, warm waters off the coast of Umhlanga Rocks are a magnet for scuba divers and snorkellers alike, where they will find the marine equivalent of the Big 5. For those less inclined in going to these depths, there's endless opportunities for golf, microlight flights, Parasailing, windsurfing, tennis, wave surfing, paddle skiing, body boarding, beach fishing, lazing about on the beach, or simply shopping at some of the finest shopping centre’s in the world.

| Large luxuriously appointed garden studio suite sleeps two adults and a maximum of one child. This self catering suite features a modern en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath and a well fitted kitchenette.
Suite 1 is also referred to as the 'Honeymoon Suite' as it is private and spacious and is equipped with a king size bed for added comfort. The open plan lounge area opens onto a covered patio with barbeque facilities where you can enjoy sundowners watching the abundance of bird life in the indigenous trees.
On arrival, honeymoon couples are spoilt with a bottle of ice cold bubbly and chocolates to welcome them to Anchor's Rest.

| An exclusive well appointed suite that has two interleading rooms that offers greater privacy for a third person or child.
This suite is ideal for a small family or for a couple who would like that extra bit of space. There is a large en suite bathroom with separate shower and bath. Both rooms open onto a verandah overlooking the pool deck, with views of the sea.
The suite is air conditioned with ceiling fans and is equipped with DSTV in both rooms, spacious cupboards, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Sea views from the verandah and a private table and chairs looking over the solar heated swimming pool complete the picture for this modern suite.
