Lepelle, which means the mighty Olifants River-the one that flows stately and slowly, truly lives up to this description. Feel Africa’s heartbeat in the vibrating rhythms of the Spekboom River cascading down the rocks and winding its way through majestic landscape to reveal exquisite indigenous fauna and flora. Listen to the call of the Fish Eagle by day and the bark of the Bushbuck in the reeds at night.

Lepelle Lodge has six en-suite chalets, each with breathtaking views. We can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests at the lodge. All our rooms are fully-furnished and serviced daily.

Relax on our deck and enjoy Africa’s spectacular sunsets, while enjoying our fully-licensed bar. Welcoming fires crackle while traditional stories unfold over delicious evening meals and superb South African wines. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of the Spekboom River and awaken refreshed to enjoy a full English breakfast. Lepelle is equipped to meet all your needs and requirements. We guarantee personal service and attention.

Lepele Lodge was incredibly relaxing; we did nothing but wander through the beautiful gardens and were amazed with the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and sounds of the river. The food was delicious and with my special needs of gluten, sugar and lactose-free food, they really went out of their way to accommodate me. Just a bit of advice, please serve smaller portions of food; it was so delicious we now have about 3 kg to get rid of! Thanks a lot guys. We will tell all ... more

It was the most awesome peaceful experience I have had in a long time. It was like living in heaven. We are struggling to get back into normal life. The kids and I have enjoyed the experience. I would recommend the lodge to everyone I know.

Lepelle Lodge is very low key and tranquil, with unobtrusive and gentle hospitality. The scenery is beautiful and we also saw a lot of game in the reserve in the late afternoon when we arrived.
