Kiambi Safari Lodge is situated in the game management area of the Zambezi Valley in a prime location, opposite Kanyemba Island. This distinctive lodge offers a unique composite experience - a rare mixture of Africa’s culture, scenery and wildlife. The combination of spacious, comfortable luxury air-conditioned chalets, luxury thatched tented chalets, self-catering accommodation and camping facilities, all with beautiful views over the Zambezi River, together with the aura of untouched Africa, promotes an invigorating sense of harmony and well-being.

Each tented room is set on a raised wooden platform with spacious en-suite facilities and verandahs with a view, furnished stylishly in Rhodesian teak and equipped with the finest quality bedding. All rooms are provided with bar fridges and fans, and the camp is sprayed regularly with an environmentally-friendly chemical effective against mosquitoes.

The central point of the lodge is the main dining, lounge and bar area which, in each case at Kiambi, have been strategically positioned and designed to capitalize on the breathtaking views. Our breakfasts and lunches are served under the thatched restaurant, whereas our dinner tables are set our around the fireplace under the African stars.

At Kiambi Lower Zambezi we offer guests two lounge and bar areas, a lodge bar which is only open to lodge guests, and the campsite bar which is air-conditioned and offers a pool table as well as DStv and is open to all guests. Two small swimming pools are available for guests to relax and cool off during those hot summer days; one is situated in the lodge area and is for lodge guests only, while the other pool is situated in the campsite area for our campers and self-catering guests. If you are feeling energetic, Kiambi Lower Zambezi also offers a small gym on the banks of the river near the main jetty.

Enjoy boat game viewing cruises, walking safaris, canoeing, bird watching, tiger fishing, sunset boat cruises or simply relax around the pool or on your private verandah and absorb the beauty and serenity of the Lower Zambezi from the comfort of the lodge. Our committed, dedicated team of professional guides at Kiambi Lower Zambezi poses an intimate knowledge of the area, its wild life and bird life. Common animals sighted all year round from the Kiambi Lower Zambezi include elephant, buffalo, hippo and crocodile, while further down the river within the Lower Zambezi National Park, lion and hyena are regularly sighted as well as leopard and wild dog.

Fishing will not be permitted from the 01 December to the 28 February due to the fishing ban that takes effect during this period.

We offer a beautiful shady camping ground for eight campsites, tailored for the budget traveller with an air-conditioned campsite bar, a big screen TV with DStv, pool table and campsite swimming pool, communal fireplace, and wash-up areas, all overlooking the Zambezi River. Ablutions are clean and tidy with hot water and each one of the eight campsites has a power outlet. Our staff light complimentary fires in the evening and meals are available from the lodge restaurant at the set menu prices on request. The campsite is situated away from the main lodge area and lodge facilities are not open to campsite guests, unless discussed with management.

The three chalets offer tea and coffee-making facilities, a fully stocked minibar, bath and shower, DStv, and a lounge area. Each chalet also features its own verandah with tables and chairs. A small private garden and a fire area are found just outside the chalets.
