If you have ever wanted to stay to in a Victorian house, this is the place to be. The room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom offered even a jacuzzi. We felt very safe in the house and it was very quiet. Our host was very attentive and we got a big and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this guesthouse.

What a peaceful way to start the new year. The 38ºC did not even bother us, because of the lovely pool and the cool blue room. With Sherry's help we booked for dinner and what an interesting little town. Enjoyed our stay with the friendly service and the breakfast bird.

Enjoy gracious and abundant living in this tranquil Victorian bed and breakfast in Montagu, surrounded by the spectacular Langeberg Mountains.
Five tastefully furnished period bedrooms with quaint en suite bathrooms, plus a large and comfortable lounge.
At the John Montagu you can enjoy English breakfasts in a sunny dining room overlooking the sparkling beach pool.
Children 12+ welcome.
The little town is picturesque and charming and renowned for its hot mineral springs, muscadel wines and hiking trails.
