Waterval Boven Self-catering

Kiepersol is an affordable B and B. We also offer three self-catering options. Units are fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, gas hob, linen, cooking utensils, crockery and barbecue facilities on a private veranda.

Troutways Private Retreat, located just outside Waterval Boven, has been operating for 10 years. It was conceived not only for the sake of fly-fishing, but as an escape to fresh air, the smell of the veld and family togetherness.

Situated 290 km from Johannesburg on the Waterval Boven, Nelspruit Road, Rocky Drift Private Nature Reserve embraces an enclosed valley of approximately 257 hectares of some of the most beautiful mountain country to be found in the Waterval Boven district.

Candlewood Camp offers accommodation in two sleeping huts for a max of up to 20 people, with ten people per hut. The sleeping huts, bathrooms, and kitchen are communal, and the kitchen is equiped with a gas stove, interior braai, and cutlery, although there is no fridge.

This accommodation is for hikers and is a fine nostalgic start to any of our two, three, four, and five-day hikes.

The resort offers self-catering chalets, as well as caravan and camping facilities. The campsites are situated under shady trees on soft green grass. There are also electrical points available for both caravans and campers. The clean ablution facilities offer hot and cold water.

Blaauwbosch Trout Inn is situated just outside Waterval Boven, on the edge of the Highveld, with wonderful views of the Elandsvalley. Activities include fly-fishing for trout and bass, birdwatching, mountain biking, and walking. Ancients ruins can also be viewed on the 103-hectare property.

Bergwaters Eco Lodge, a beautiful - peaceful retreat, offers affordable upmarket bed and breakfast accommodation, conference and event facilities near Waterval Onder/Boven and Machadodorp in Mpumalanga. Bergwaters, renowned for it's tranquil atmosphere, promises the perfect escape.

Aloes Country Inn is situated at the foot of the Elands Valley hills on the bank of the Elands River, near Waterval Onder. This is truly the gateway to the Lowveld, surrounded by the beauty of a unique ecology.
