The Snack Bar is situated right on the beach next to the Pestana Inhaca Hotel and Inhacazul Lodge. It is run by Tony and Alex and they serve excellent seafood. There is a well equipped bar to suit everyone’s taste. Tony and Alex also cater for special events such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries on the island and are willing to even cater for an evening meal at the lighthouse if necessary (buffet meal).

This casual but chic pub-restaurant is directly on the beach at Bayview Lodge, Barra, Mozambique. It is open to the public with seating for 20 guests inside and additional seating on the deck. The restaurant has hardwood furniture inside and out, with proper crockery and cutlery and even a small ‘reader’s corner’ where you can exchange books. A daily menu with buffet-style breakfast, light lunches and a la carte dinners. Special catering needs can be accommodated such as vegetarian dishes, if we are informed in advance. The emphasis is on fish and seafood, but other meat dishes – chicken, beef and the occasional lamb - are also served. Our menu is dependent on availability and is therefore varied. A few examples of our menu include lunch dishes of chicken or prawn or octopus salad, or maybe a tuna carpaccio with roquette. Dinner offered may include tuna steak with pesto and ratatouille or a calamari and prawn curry, or for meat lovers, our famous peri-peri chicken, beef fillet or a sirloin steak. The emphasis is on good food in a relaxed atmosphere, where the music is in the background; in other words, a place to get together. Kids are welcome.
