Waterford Manor is a 10-hectare property situated on the Mooi River outside the small village of Rosetta in the picturesque and serene KwaZulu Natal Midlands region. We are 8kms from Nottingham Road and 12kms from Mooi River. We have 700 metres of Mooi River frontage with many idyllic spots available for fly fishing and picnicking.

The property has a lot of indigenous growth and magnificent trees, and we have laid out a couple of walking trails for the enjoyment of guests. Along these trails, you will also find fishing and picnic spots. We have a swimming pool with wooden deck overlooking the river, Lapa and BBQ facilities, which are available for guest use and comfort. There are abundant wildlife species, which move freely through all the properties in the region - so be on the lookout for buck, mongoose, porcupines and otters. The birdlife is also prolific we have a couple of resident Paradise Flycatchers and have frequent visits from the Brown Eagle as well as the Hammerkop.

Waterford Manor offers luxury Bed and Breakfast and Self-catering accommodation on a 10-hectare property with 600m of river frontage where our guests can enjoy the opportunity to unwind and relax. Our accommodation consists of individual, fully-equipped, serviced cottages with private entrances and patios with BBQ facilities. Each cottage has its own decoder and DSTV bouquet.

Glen Ormond is an exclusive guest house in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. It is situated on a picturesque and serene six-hectare property. There is an abundant of wildlife species move freely through the properties in the region.

The self-catering cottages are comfortably and tastefully decorated and are fully equipped with all the conveniences. Each cottage has a private entrance as well as a private veranda overlooking the majestic Drakensberg. To complement guests’ stay, each cottage has a Weber braai and braai utensils. A covered carport for each unit is conveniently situated close to the cottage entrance. All units are fully serviced on a daily basis. Breakfast is available on request as well as laundry. Pets are not allowed.

A good reason to come to Rosetta is to see the dramatic views of the Drakensberg. The hillsides come alive in spring and summer with abundant wild flowers; the cold autumns are an array of burnt orange and amber; and crisp, chilly winters offer a frost-laden air with snow-capped peaks in the distance and sometimes snow on the ground.

Having been one of the originators of the Country House movement in the 1980's, Richard and Mouse then travelled overseas working and absorbing the 'foodie' world. Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse was opened - an intimate gourmet getaway.

The farmhouse offers warm mohair blankets and crisp cotton sheets.

There is a dining room as well as a fireplace in the lounge.

The farmhouse offers vegetables, freshly caught trout, local cheeses, homemade breads and fresh herbs.

It also offers a trout-filled dam.

You can choose the right wine from the underground wine cellar and prepare your senses for great tastes and flavours.

This is a great setting with splendid views of the mountains and crystal clear streams and waterfalls.

We are tucked away in the beautiful Kamberg valley close to Giant's Castle Nature Reserve. All the normal mountain pursuits such as swimming, walking and hiking are available.

Cleopatra is the ultimate in peace, tranquillity and solitude.

Kingfisher Cottage is a comfortable and spacious self-catering cottage nestling in the foothills of the Giant's Castle region of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg mountain range (World Heritage Site). The Kamberg Valley is notably one of the prettiest and scenically beautifully in the KwaZulu Natal Province.

The cottage sleeps five in two separate bedrooms; the main bedroom has a Queen size bed and a single bed for a child alongside; the front room has two single beds. Electric blankets, double ablution facilities; a gas stove (in case of power outages), an open fireplace and a spacious covered patio overlooking the dam, all add up to a congenial place for an "away from it all" peaceful break.

Local attractions and things to do range from: trout fishing, on both dams and rivers (3 of them, Mooi, Klein Mooi and Bushmans) (Highmoor is one of the best still water fisheries in the country), a visit to the Crane Rehabilitation Centre, San Rock Art or a day in the Weenen Game Reserve, to horse trails, golf, excellent hiking opportunities in three Nature Reserves where Eland abound, a simple picnic on the banks of the Little Mooi (on the property). Enjoy the great variety of bird life, or may be.... just come and relax.

Please note that entrance to the Nature Reserves is upon payment of a small fee and all fishing requires the payment of a rod fee.

Thembela Country House is a large self-catering house with a separate cottage situated on the banks of the newly built Spring Groves Dam. The house and cottage are situated on a private farm offering complete privacy with beautiful views of the dam.

The spacious house includes four individually decorated rooms with bedding provided, and three lovely bathrooms. The spacious open-plan living area includes a kitchen and lounge, leading out onto a spacious patio. The kitchen is well equipped and include a gas stove, a microwave and all other cooking appliances. A separate scullery includes washing up facilities, a deep freeze and fridge. The lounge area includes ample seating, a TV and fireplace.

The living area leads out onto a covered patio with braai facilities and faces the dam. The water’s edge is only a few meters away. The garden has a large lawn where children and pates can play.

The smaller cottage has two queen bedrooms with a bathroom that has both a shower and bath. There is a fireplace and full DStv in the cottage and a veranda that overlooks the new dam with breath-taking views.

The main house sleeps 10 people and the cottage sleeps four people.

The en-suite units are comfortably furnished including bedding and towels. This is the ideal base for overnight accommodation as there is no kitchen or living area. The units consist of a double bed and a bathrooms with a shower and basin.

Margie's passion for finding different and new wine from the Cape and sharing it with her friends is where the concept was borne. Starting with only 52 red and 22 white wine labels, she could never have imagined that in only 10 years her passion could be turned into such a resounding success.

Our TGCSA 4-star establishment consists of 3 double, en-suite and individually decorated bedrooms equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, toiletries, electric blankets and heaters for those cold winter nights. There is a cosy communal lounge (with fireplace) where guests can watch TV (full DSTV), read a book, play a board game or simply relax with a tipple of your choice. Your full English breakfast is served in the adjoining dining room any time from 7.30 to 8.45. Outside you'll find an immaculate garden with a firepit and seating. Crags Cottage is a delightful cottage in the Kamberg area of the Natal Midlands on the shores of the new Springrove Dam. It is an ideal place to relax and recharge batteries in the rolling hills with a view of the dam and the mountains at very reasonable rates.

The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to a maximum of five guests and comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge and dining room. The main bedroom contains a double bed and the second bedroom contains a single bed and an overhead divan. An additional guest can be accommodated on a daybed in the lounge area. The two bathrooms, both en suite, each contain a shower, basin and toilet.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, microwave oven, and a fridge-freezer combo. The comfortable lounge includes a fireplace for those chilly evenings. There is a large veranda with portable braai facilities. Carport parking is available.

Each cottage has two bedrooms, a full family bathroom and an open-plan living room. The living area has a dining room and lounge with a built in fireplace, comfortable furniture and under-floor heating throughout. The country-style kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances. Both cottages have a TV with limited channels.

The full length front veranda overlooks our two trout dams, the central Drakensberg Mountains and the Springrove Dam. For extended stays the cottages can be serviced for an additional fee.
