Located conveniently opposite the golf course in a quiet area, the upmarket double-storey guest house offers you secure parking, a lovely landscaped garden and twelve rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

We have two luxury rooms with a shower and a bath, as well as five double rooms and five single rooms. All the rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with DStv, air-conditioner, bar fridge, hairdryer, safe, a coffee station and Wi-Fi.

You can relax in the lounge watching TV, play pool or enjoy your own drinks at the bar. Unfortunately we are not licensed to sell liquor but you are most welcome to bring your own. Soft drinks are sold at the bar area. Breakfast can be enjoyed either inside or outside. We offer a three-course homecooked dinner on request.

You will find that our rooms are clean, spacious, and inviting, with access to 24-hour air-conditioning, DStv, flat screen TVs, and complimentary tea and coffee. All rooms have their own bathrooms and various options of showers or baths are available. We have additional beds and cots that convert any standard room into a family room for your peace of mind, and there is also ample secure gated parking, a children’s play area, and a sparkling swimming pool.

Our meals are hearty and home-cooked, and you can choose either a plated dinner in the dining room or a more relaxed braai on the patio, overlooking the pool and garden, while breakfasts are a full English breakfast treat.

While many of our guests are working reps, consultants, technical specialists on short project visits, or families en route to Mozambique, Swaziland, Kosi and Sodwana Bays, there are those guests who wish to linger, and for them there is much to do in and around the fertile Pongola Valley.

On a practical note, there is a well-equipped, modern hospital that is staffed with an experienced, professional and caring medical team, and the airport on the outskirts of town and can cater for most light aircrafts.

Tamboti Ridge Ranch is an established sugar and game farm situated in the peaceful beauty of the Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal bushveld. It is an ideal stop over point when travelling between Johannesburg, Kruger Park or Swaziland and the Zululand Resorts such as Sodwana Bay, Kosi bay, St.Lucia and Hluhluwe and Mfolozi Reserves or Southern Mozambique Resorts such as Ponta Do Ouro. Nkonkoni Fishing Camp is situated within the Pongola Game Reserve in the beautiful Pongolapoort Biosphere. The camps is located close to the southern shores of the Pongolapoort Jozini Dam, in the bird sanctuary part of the biosphere, and overlooks the western escarpment of the majestic Lebombo Mountains and the endless savannah woodland of northern Zululand.

Accommodation is offered in self-catering Chalets and Safari Tents. Each chalet sleeps up to four guests, is air-conditioned, and equipped with a fridge-freezer, mini stove and oven, cutlery and crockery, linen and bath towels. Each chalet also has a private outdoor shower, a bathroom with either a Victorian or a spa bath, a separate toilet, a private boma with braai facilities, use of a central boma with DStv, fire pit and additional cooking facilities and use of a communal splash pool.

Each Safari Tent sleeps up to seven guests and is equipped with fans, a fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery, linen and bath towels. Each tent has its own private bathroom facilities with an outdoor shower and toilet, a private boma for cooking with a two-plate gas cooker and braai facilities, use of a central boma with DStv, viewing deck, fire pit and additional cooking facilities, as well as use of a communal splash pool.

The Pongolapoort Dam, with its variety of wildlife, is referred to as a mini-Kariba and some of the animals which may be seen include elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard, giraffe and many species of antelope. The dam is also home to hippos, crocodiles and of course, the fighting tiger fish. The dam covers approximately 16,000 hectares, with a river stretch of approximately 5 km. Fishing takes place from boats and we support the catch and release method.

Esikhotheni Bush Camp consists of a large elevated deck, situated on the Mpeti Stream, able to comfortably accommodate a maximum of 10 people; bedding and towels supplied, sleeping either inside the wood cabin, or on the deck, weather permitting - an experience not to be missed. No individual rooms. The open rondawels kitchen is fully kitted for the self-catering guest including a fridge and freezer, stove, etcetera, and is serviced daily. Firewood and ice are supplied at no extra charge.

Whilst the very unique bathroom, situated off the deck, partially surrounded by bush, boasts 5 star facilities, the sense of bush belonging is overwhelming with the huge windows allowing one to observe or be observed transforming the most mundane of activities into an unforgettable experience.
