Kosi Bay, in the far north eastern corner of KwaZulu-Natal, is a system of four lakes ranging from freshwater to saline, that feed into the ocean at the mouth. It forms part of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park - a natural World Heritage.

Lala Lapa is situated in Kosi Bay which offers a rich network of lakes that stretch from Lake Zilonde on the Mozambique border in the north, to Lake Amanzimnyama in the south.
