A Seaside Place is situated idyllically on the famous Kommetjie Long Beach. Enjoy walks on the wide expanses of sandy beaches, with rock pools to play in. The beach is popular with young and old alike. People come from far and wide for the various water sports and families enjoy quality time together, picnicking on the beach under their umbrellas.
While lazing on the beach, you are able to enjoy the stunning Chapmans Peak mountain range, looking towards Hout bay with Table Mountain in the background; a breath-taking view that locals and visitors never tire of.

The kitchen has a large fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans plus all crockery and cutlery. The kitchen opens out to a magical garden with braai facilities, fynbos and sounds of nature from the abundant bird life. Even an owl can be heard at times. Many enjoyable evenings can be spent here, relaxing with a glass of wine, at the end of a busy satisfying day, viewing the Cape's wondrous sights.
Kommetjie is a quaint village with a strong sense of community and very friendly people, welcoming you. It is peaceful and quiet, very safe yet close to the Cape's many splendid attractions. There are so places to see as the Cape is full of adventure.
These include a trip on the cable car to the top of the wondrous Table Mountain. A traveler's tip; during certain months, one can travel on the cable car after 6pm at half price and on one's birthday, can travel for free. Other interesting aspects involve relaxing on one of the many fantastic beaches, such as Clifton and Camps Bay; Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with its fascinating new walk way in the tree tops; the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront which is a shopper’s paradise; Cape Town’s Museums, boat charters, helicopter flips and the world famous Robben Island.
The Two Oceans Aquarium is near to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and where you can get up close to many diverse aquatic species, plus loads of activities especially for the children. The Cape wine route which includes Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Constantia, will leave you astounded by the natural beauty of the regions and tastes that have made our wines famous.
One can also enjoy the sights on a Tour Bus. City Sightseeing Cape Town offers both scenic and historical tours. One can take a two day ticket for a nominal fee, and see most of the Cape's attractions.
Kommetjie is a welcoming little village, with endless stretches of wide sandy beaches, including the famous Kommetjie to Noordhoek walk. There are also numerous hiking paths affording magnificent views of the mountains and impossibly blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Kommetjie is well known for its quality of scented fresh air, and birdlife. Marvel at Flamingo, Egyptian Geese, Sacred Ibis, Hadeda, Crow, Sea Gull, Cormarant, Starling... In the surf you might even see seals at play. Also, during the months of July to December one can spot whales from our beaches here.
There are many local eateries a short walk away, as well as the Long Beach Mall with most of the top retail stores. Pick n Pay, Food Lovers Market, Woolworths, Mugg and Bean, Clicks, Mr. Price and Mr. Price Home, Absa, Nedbank, FNB, Capitec banks are amongst a few of the popular stores.
