It has once been said that travel is like love, mostly because of its heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why a visit to Boutique Guesthouse Hanover, like the best love affairs, never really ends.

The Boutique Guesthouse is located in Hanover, a small, yet picturesque Karoo town located on the N1. Staying true to the heart of every traveler, this experience promises to be nothing short of extraordinary taste and interior art colliding with the vastness of the Karoo landscape and sentiment.

This is a home away from home. The friendly, helpful staff will take great care to cater to your every need and ensure a comfortable stay. The seven decadent suites open onto a private patio with hospitality and service at its best. The front porch overlooks the majestic church building, true Karoo sacredness only a few feet away. Luxury features include spacious rooms, en-suite bathrooms and selected features for the true connoisseur.

Rooms include flat screen TV’s with DStv, air conditioning, bar fridges, safes, tea and coffee facilities and bathroom amenities. Our guests will enjoy free Wi-Fi. Each room and living space speaks of the finest decorum and stays true to the nostalgic, traditional Karoo houses - having simplicity, elegance and a sense of space.
Boutique Guesthouse Hanover prouds itself to serve authentic Karoo dishes with a twist, ranging from mutton tails, so-called “skaapstertjies”, to lamb shanks. We accommodate most dietary requirements, such as vegetarian needs, with ingredients that are readily available.

Let the dust settle on your skin and embark on a journey to where the open road spills into a painted sky. At Boutique Guesthouse Hanover we open our hearts, doors and quite a few minds.

Babadaud offers a quiet, friendly and informal overnight stop for the undemanding and unassuming traveller. Although located in the quietest part of town there are the chiming’s of the church bell every hour and half hour, the barking of nearby dogs and the odd vehicle passing by, making it a quaint respite from the outside world.

Accommodation is shabby but not at all chic. Furnishings and fittings, whilst not minimalist, are simple, adequate, modest and dated. Each room has en-suite lavatory with a basin and shower or bath. The rooms are at the front of the house, each with its own street access via the veranda.
Parking is to the front of the house by the room window. The rest of the property and the grounds are private and are not available for the use of guests. Lots of cats live here. They are banned from the guest’s rooms but they are always out and about. Persons who do not like cats or who are allergic to them will wish to give us a miss.

Basic equipment and supplies for making tea and coffee are provided in the rooms. A light breakfast in the brekkie room is available between 7am and 8 am upon request. Cutlery, crockery, a microwave and a toaster are available for guests' use. There are no other catering facilities available, no kitchen, no freezer and no braai.

In town are three reasonable venues for dining; two are licensed. There is also a service station snack shack.

Travellers seeking themed or upmarket premises and services are respectfully referred to other accommodation providers who have made good and costly effort to oblige their requirements and desires.
