The Moon Bay Guest House is a private house on the banks of the Vaal Dam in Deneysville, and offers guest upmarket self-catering accommodation. The guest house is a little piece of heaven only 120 km from Johannesburg.

The Moon Bay Guest House features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a TV lounge, sitting room, dining room, a kitchen and a pub. This property is right on the water.

The main house feature DStv premium, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryers, and swimming towels.

Located in a tranquil setting with lovely views over the dam, our guests can enjoy the large outdoor living area which offers an inviting swimming pool, braai facilities and large lapa.

Platinum Moon is a comfortable self-catering house situated in Deneysville, within walking distance to the edge of the Vaal Dam. There are beautiful views from the patio and the garden, which has plenty of parking available for a boat and cars.

The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms inside and an additional shower room outside, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living area with DStv. All bedding and bath towels are provided, however please bring your own beach towels. There is a covered patio area with a sleeper couch and braai facilities, should guests want to sleep under the stars on a warm evening.

The Water Sports Club has excellent facilities with a boat-launching ramp, braai facilities with shaded seating areas as well as an ablution block. This is a lovely fishing spot and regular competitions are held here, as well as other areas around the dam. Please note there is a charge to enter the club, however we can supply a card that will let you gain access for one car and four occupants free of charge.

The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan living area and a braai area outside. The dining room is very large with two tables and chairs. The lounge is equipped with a comfortable leather couch and a TV with selected DStv channels and a DVD player. Guests can bring their own smart card for full DStv access.

We provide temporary membership to the water sports club for anglers or boat owners. There is plenty of room to park vehicles and boats on the property.

We are just an hour drive from Johannesburg, we are approximately 120 m from the water’s edge and our venue commands spectacular views of the dam and passing pleasure craft.

Established in the late 1930’s, when the Vaal Dam was built to serve the water needs of Johannesburg, the village is a mecca for the serious yachtsman, water skiers, jet skiers, canoeists, fishermen, bird watchers and astronomers. Village amenities include two modern supermarkets, liquor stores, three excellent butcheries, a dry cleaner, a hardware store, a chemist, post office, a DVD store, art and antique galleries, pubs, restaurants and a filling station.

The Vaal Lookout is designed to serve the needs of tourists, the corporate sector, watersports enthusiasts and those wanting a peaceful weekend retreat. It also makes a perfect base for visiting members of the horseracing fraternity, with the Vaal Racecourse being only 20 minutes away.

Guest accommodation comprises of five luxury double suites, each with a sumptuous en-suite bathroom. Two of the four spacious upstairs bedrooms provide family accommodation for up to six guests. The downstairs suite has a shower only and is designed to meet the needs of senior citizens, with its own kitchenette. Separate from the main house is Waterloo Cottage, which is a small self-catering unit, which can sleep up to four guests.

Providing all the extra touches that distinguish the finest guesthouses of the world, The Vaal Lookout has a library and TV lounge, with the full range of DStv channels. Guests can relax in club chair comfort, enjoying a magnificent view of the sparkling waters of the dam or watching a DVD selected from our extensive library. A full English breakfast is included in the tariff and we cater for evening meals on request, priding ourselves on the quality of our cuisine.

These have been carefully maintained in a naturalistic semi-wild state attracting many species of birds and undoubtedly is one of the most delightful escapes for a weekend getaway.

This unpretentious country cottage has a cheerful electric blend of the quaint and the contemporary. Not only has Stone Cottage the appeal of lively originality, the ambience is warm, and the service dedicated. For nature enthusiasts, bird life abounds in a garden which becomes part of the experience, a perfect venue for wedding pictures, short honeymoons and romantic weekends. Leisurely country days can be filled with walks, romantic sunset cruises, windsurfing, kite surfing, fishing, mountain biking, a visit to the historic Motorcycle Museum, visits to the nature reserve and the crocodile.

Stone Cottage consists of two fully equipped, furnished, self-catering units and a newly renovated bed and breakfast unit, all of which have their own small secluded private gardens and braai facilities. Coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided on arrival; all kitchens are fully equipped with all necessities needed. Bath towels and all bedding are supplied. There is adequate parking for boats, trailers, cars and full use of the main garden and pool area.

With the use of Stone Cottage’s membership card, free access will be provided to the Water Sports Club, for one vehicle with four occupants per cottage. The club allows access to the waterfront and has braai-, ablution- and launching facilities, as well as a lovely fishing spot.

Only 35 km away is the Emerald Casino, which now has a water theme park and a very well-maintained animal sanctuary. For golfing enthusiasts, both the Maccauvlei and the Riviera Golf Courses are within 25 minutes of Deneysville.

The air-conditioned guest houses are comfortably furnished with queen-size or king-size beds and all, except two rooms, have en-suite bathrooms. Hair dryers, toiletries and towels are provided. The kitchens are fully equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer as well as a washing machine. The lounges are comfortably furnished and is equipped with a TV with full DStv.
