The Riverside Huts are located within the Tsehlanyane National Park, which is only one of two national parks in Lesotho. The Tsehlanyane National Park makes up an integral part of the greater Maloti/Drankensberg Transfrontier Park.
The park is located deep in the front range of the Maluti Mountains at the foot of the Holomo Pass and only about 45 minutes on a good road from the South African border post of Caledonspoort. Caledonspoort is a 15 minute drive from the popular Free State town of Clarens and about 4 hours from Johannesburg international airport.
Each Riverside Hut offers basic but comfortable accommodation, and each contain a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom, as well as a couch. A baby cot or roll-away bed can be provided for children, or an additional adult. Guests can enjoy their breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Maliba Mountain Lodge restaurant, which is just a three minute drive from the Riverside Huts.
The huts are situated on the river with natural rock pools and large boma fireplace area, and offer a truly traditional Basotho experience.
