A bit about Sam...
Sam began travelling around Southern Africa from the age of nine months in a Renault 4L called "The Camel", starting at Victoria Falls. A long stint at the South African Museum involved shooting portraits of ammonites
interspersed with frequent sojourns to Dyer Island and Bird Island (Eastern Cape) to
assist with Great White Shark behavioural research. Stowing away on a square-rigger, Endeavour, she became a ruffy-tuffy sailor plying the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. More recently she crewed on INSPIRE! Yacht '2041' with LoveLife sailors for the first leg of the Circumnavigation of Africa, an inspirational voyage to raise environmental and HIV/Aids awareness in Africa. She is now navigating the far less turbulent waters of writing for SafariNow.com.
