I started travelling at the age of one to Vic Falls in a Renault 4L called “The Camel”. I’m addicted to road tripping, especially if it’s off beat and to explore Africa’s wild places. My parents are to blame.
A stint of humpback whale observation at Cape Vidal and white shark behaviour research off Dyer and Bird Islands cast the Ocean’s spell on me. I took to the high seas under square sails on the HMB Endeavour. Still caught in the Sea’s net, I crewed on Inspire 2041, an ex Global Challenge yacht dedicated to promoting sustainability and preserving the last great wilderness on Earth.
Now you’ll find me navigating the less turbulent waters of writing for SafariNow, and having fun finding ways of treading more gently on the Earth. She is the only one we have.
