We absolutely loved the Cottage, so well appointed, conveniently positioned, surrounded by a lush indigenous garden, hearing owls at night and birdsong all day long, completely private, a piece of paradise.

A comfortable cottage with the smell of thatch and a generous stoep from which to enjoy the fantastic garden - we were here in spring so it was extra magical. Great location close to lovely eateries (Tebaldis is well worth a visit) and supply stores. Dennis is a gracious host who goes out of his way to make you at home. Highly recommend.

Wild Almond is a special little treasure in a wonderful area of South Africa. This is our second stay at Wild Almond and once again Dennis has provided an exceptionally warm welcome to his special little cottage. The little personal touches make Wild Almond worthy of a five star establishment. It’s a cosy, tranquil little cottage which is very comfortable and very well appointed. A very detailed information brochure compiled by Dennis is provided on arrival and details all relevant information about all the wonderful and unique eateries available in McGregor and the nearby area. Having stayed at a few other establishments in McGregor, Wild Almond is definitely our first choice and we will be back to enjoy this little cottage again.

Wild Almond cottage is a true gem in this lovely town. It offers five star accommodation with beautiful decor and attention to detail. Spacious well appointed outdoor area and gardens with pool add to this great accommodation. Dennis our host was so welcoming. Will definitely go back to this quaint breede valley town and Wild Almond Cottage is is a must do for anyone wanting to enjoy a unique experience in this part of the western cape.

Very welcoming host and lovely ambience

We had a fantastic time at Wild Almond Cottage. It was the ideal break from everything. The cottage is beautifully furnished with lots of lovely touches. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the bottle of wine left for us by the lovely hosts Dennis and Mo. The fresh flowers from the garden in each room were a special touch. We loved the stoep, pretty garden and small pool. The only downside for us was having builders at the property below the garden and pool who could and did watch us over the fence. However, that wasn't Dennis's fault. We'd love to return to Wild Almond Cottage in the future.

Beautiful, comfortable, well maintained cottage.

We just fell in love with the total ambience of Wild Almond. Dennis made us feel very welcome and gave us personal attention. We loved the fresh flowers...the bottle of wine and bedtime chocolate. The cottage is well appointed and we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful clean cottage with homely feel

This cottage exceeded our expectations by far. The attention to detail, excellent comfort and the cozy ambience barely explains how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Dennis!

The accommodation was so very encompassing. The detail was impressive, paintings, utensils, bedding, books, cleanliness, peaceful, ambiance, plung pool and free wifi. Communication with the owner was excellent and informative. Nothing to. be improved upon. Book it now!

What an amazing gem. Gorgeously outfitted with crisp cotton sheets and thick towels, all the cutlery and crockery (and bottle openers) you need, a stunningly deep plunge pool, and all the extras like custom-made cds and quality hand soap and cream. We received such a warm welcome from gracious hosts Dennis and Mo, and can't wait to go back. Categorically 5 star.

Wild Almond Cottage was a delightful experience. It was wonderfully clean, the small touches were exceptional and I would unreservedly recommend it at any time. In fact, I and my wife are going back to McGregor in November and it will be the first place we will look to re-book.

this is an absolutely quint little cottage, well worth a try.

Wild Almond Cottage was cosy, comfortable and also beautifully presented including a bottle of wine on arrival, fresh flowers everywhere, plenty of information about the village and conserving water as well. The cottage is also walking distance to the shops, galleries, spa, Temenos Gardens, restaurants etc. which was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wild Almond Cottage is everything it should be: a perfect period cottage in keeping with its surroundings, with an interior revealing a deft artistic hand in its decorations and furnishings. There is no air conditioning but our lazy day under the stoop was breezy and there is a refreshing splash pool. An excellent dinner at Karoux, 5 minutes walk away was a treat. Thank you Dennis!

Wild Almond is a home away from home. The atttention to detail and welcoming touches make arriving at Wild Almond a very pleasant experience. Dennis provides great information on the area prior to arrival. The cottage is very comfortable, cosy and homely and makes a stay in Mcgregor a very enjoyable and memorable one. Location is perfect within the village of Mcgregor.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Wild Almond. Since Ive made contact with Dennis the first time up to the morning we left, everything was just beyond our expectations. Everything is very neat and clean with beautiful interior. We loved the homely atmosphere and the personal attention we got from our host Dennis.

We will definitely be back.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, so great! It was clear to see that lots of attention was given to the finer details to create a pleasant and homely environment. For us the best feature was the stoep(veranda), it was really lovely sitting out there relaxing and looking out onto the beautiful garden and beyond. The cottage has everything that one needs. Our host, Dennis was so lovely and friendly as he always is, as this was our second time back to the Wild Almond Cottage, we would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

A charming, yet rustic cottage in a small town of McGregor. Yet also very peaceful - just what the doctor ordered for the weekend - Peace & tranquility combined with Relaxation. When sitting outside on the stoep (veranda) having coffee in the morning, you can hear the Rooster and the chirping of the birds (reminds one of life on a farm) - awesome.

What a lovely place to stay! Also, apart from having everything one needs, there is an outside shower with hot and cold water, which is wonderful. It is private, tranquil and well priced. I highly recommend staying at the Wild Almond Cottage!

We spent a stunningly relaxed Easter weekend in Mcgregor, largely due to the fact that Wild Almond is, quite simply, the ultimate "getaway" cottage. Appointed with charm, immaculate detail and great care, the cottage is warmly inviting and super-comfortable. From the thoroughly-equipped kitchen, to the quality cotton duvets, to the fantastic selection of CD's and DVD's, we couldn't have been more content. To our hosts Dennis and Mo, whose love, thoughtful touch and care is apparent in every nook and cranny of this special place - thank you so much. We'll be seeing you and Wild Almond again, we greatly hope!

This must be the nicest cottage I have ever stayed in. Their attention to the little details is just incredible. I don't just want to go for a weekend anymore, I want to live there for good!
