
About Wensleydale Guest Lodge
Wensleydale Guest Lodge is situated in the major accommodation area in Pietermaritzburg, which is the capital of KwaZulu-Natal and the traditional home of the Zulu nation.
Beautifully appointed with an African safari lodge flavour, the exclusive yet affordable accommodation is suitable for families, corporate guests, sporting groups and tourists alike. A warm welcome awaits you at this little piece of Africa in the Sun.
Wensleydale Guest Lodge offers guests a choice of eight lovely units all differing in size and amenities. The units are comfortably furnished and have French doors opening onto private indigenous gardens. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchens with all your culinary requirements and the separate lounges offer comfortable couches, extra beds and flat screen TVs with DStv. The private patios have braai facilities set under large flat topped thorn-trees Acacia Sieberiana and traditional African medicine trees. Please note that some rates are subject to the number of guests staying, hence we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs.
A full English breakfast is available at a cost of R110 per person and is served between 06:30 to 08:30 on weekdays and Saturdays and from 07:00 to 09:00 on Sundays. A buffet dinner or a la carte menu order is R205 per person and is served between 18:30 to 20:30 on weekdays only.
We are also close to shopping malls as well as restaurants and we are on the Mr. Delivery route.
Guests can relax around the sparkling pool with poolside loungers and garden suite. Off street secure undercover parking is available as well as photocopying, fax and internet services. Debit, Visa, Master and/or Amex credit cards welcome. Airport Transfers organized ex Oribi Airport and King Shaka Airport.
Spa: We have a few Wellness/ Spa's in our area.
Conference Venues: We can host a small conference venue for around 14 x delegates.
Family friendly: We have a trampoline and a wonderful large garden for children to run around and have fun!
Romantic: We offer room decor for your special night when you arrive back to you Suite. Room decor ranges from rose petals scattered in the room, candles, chocolates, flower arrangements, to Champagne/ Wine of your choice.
Covid Safety Approved: We pledge to implement a high standard of hygiene and cleaning protocols to ensure the safest environment possible for our guests. We adhere to the industry safety protocols set out by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA).
