About Upper House

Upper House is nestled in the heart of Clarens, only a few minutes' walk from the village centre and the conservancy. This luxury and tranquil accommodation is styled for both the modern traveller and the business executive.Each suite and the cottage have comfortable beds, dressed in crisp white linen. The bathrooms are spotless and either consists of a bath or a shower. There are flatscreen TVs with DStv and free Wi-Fi. Guests are treated to a luxury in-room breakfast each morning and tea and coffee facilities arranged in each unit.

                          Stayed at the UpperHouse Clarens for the Cherry Festival in Ficksburg. Natalie communicated with me from the day before our arrival and throughout our stay. We were advised everything of interest in Clarens, she gave a booklet on the surrounds and recommended good restaurants. Everything in Clarens is within walking distance from UpperHouse which makes it perfect. The cottage we stayed in were extremely comfortable (the beds especially are mighty fine) , the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully.                           The unit was exactly what I expected and a little bit more. So luxurious and comfy at the same time. Bathroom was amazing. Big bathtub and even a bigger shower. Loved every second of it. Natalie was also a great host and made us feel at home from the second you arrive.

                          Right from the start we had a good feeling about The Upper House. Natalie was there to greet us and showed the 6 of us to our accommodation. 4 of us stayed in Willow Cottage which has 2 en suite king size rooms. Beautifully decorated and the biggest shower I have ever seen in the one bathroom - the other bathroom has a lovely bath tub where you can relax. Fireplace in the lounge/dining area. Kitchen is more than adequate with an oven microwave fridge/freezer etc. Natalie supplied us with tea and coffee including filter coffee and plunger (so wish all establishments did this).
