About Salt Rock Lodge

Overlooking the world- famous surf breaks of J-Bay, The Point, Tubes and Albatross and within walking distance of the legendary Supertubes, Salt Rock Lodge has the ideal location for surfers or tourists. With the addition of uninterrupted mountain views and the endless stretch of the magnificent Kabeljous Beach as far as the eyes can see; an incomparable stunning panoramic view of the whole bay!

Set in a most desirable position in the quiet residential area of Wavecrest, our family-run self-catering lodge provides relaxed, home-from-home, clean and cosy comfort. Accommodation varies from two self- contained flats, or for larger groups the self- contained middle section with up to three double bedrooms.

Awake to views of crimson sunrises over the ocean. Slow down and restore your soul with long walks on our famous shell-strewn beaches or the opportunity to do beach fishing, hiking, horse-riding and bird-watching trails, sand-boarding, kite-surfing, wind-surfing or skate-boarding - all nearby. Surf schools will assist those wanting to learn how to surf or just chill and watch the world’s best board-riders in action from the boardwalks. As the sun sets behind the mountains, simply relax and enjoy the views and pleasure of watching schools of dolphins playing in the surf or the migrating whales and their calves from July-Dec all whilst sipping a sun downer before your evening braai (indoor barbeque in main section).

We are a five- minute stroll down to the beach and a five minute car journey to the local shopping area, where there are supermarkets, a liquor store, restaurant and petrol station. The Billabong village area offers top brands at factory prices, a wide variety of quality restaurants and coffee shops, The Fountains Shopping Mall and vibey night life are another five minutes drive away.

Our travel counsellor will gladly assist in organising trips to nearby Addo, Shamwari and other game parks or explore the beauty of the Baviaanskloof Mountain range, feel the thrill of the world’s highest bungy, experience the beauty of the Karoo or the wonders of the scenic Garden Route.

Ample off-street parking.

Dit was die mooiste en rustigste tydjie en ons sal weer gaan. Die uitsig bring 'n mens net soveel nader aan die Here om Sy grootheid te sien. Die eienaar is ook baie vriendelik en het ons tuis laat voel
