About Manico Camp

Manico Camp is situated on Inhaca Island in Mozambique, surrounded by clear blue waters and coral reefs, making Inhaca a popular diving, snorkelling and fishing destination. We offer one-bedroom log cabins, bush cabins, a tent camp, and campsites with power points and ablutions facilities with hot and cold water.

The camp features a fully fitted kitchen with ample freezing facilities, and we are in close proximity to a variety of restaurants and pubs that serve excellent seafood dishes. Several recreation activities are available in the area, including deep-sea fishing, fly-fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, sea kayaking, whale watching, hiking trails, and daily trips to Portuguese Island.

The people at Manico camp are very friendly and willing to assist with anything that you may require. We had very good service when dealing with the staff members. We stayed in the reed huts which are extremely basic but comfortable. The bar area is good. The kitchen and bathrooms are dirty. This is the main reason why I would not to stay at this accommodation again. The pool is also not kept in a 'swimmable' condition (at least when we were there over dec and new years it was not cleaned)

I loved the fact that the camp allows one to interact freely with other guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Zito.

We stayed for two nights and we will be back for sure, such a peaceful place. The island is beautiful and the camp is located on the border of the beach. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Perhaps the only thing missing are mosquito nets, but overall a fantastic experience!

Manico Camp is lovely—basic, but clean and comfortable with a very friendly staff. We enjoyed our short stay there, but transport was challenging. We arranged boat transfer to the island with Roger. It was a quick, 50 minute trip from Maputo (compared to the ferry, which can take 3–4 hours), but communication was a challenge and departure times were wildly inaccurate. While this does not reflect Manico Camp, unfortunately, it had a big impact on our overall experience. Also note, the phone numbers for Manico Camp provided on this website do not work, and management is slow to respond to email.
