The rooms were like a dream . I like everything. The area for breakfast was a bit of a anti climax, but the food was good. Thanks for your hospitality although we did not had a opportunity to meet anyone to thank them personally.

Nice large room. Looked forward to having a bath in the modern bath, but the plug didnt work. The toilet's cistern was broken, so each flush was manual. Flies...a lot of them. It seems as if a lot of money was spent on decor and bedding etc. , but not a lot of experience in actually running a guest house. ESTABLISHMENT RESPONSE: Thank you Theo for the feedback. We had a plumber in the next morning and he could find no fault...

We had a wonderful rest at LaRiviera. The patio with a view of the dam was a great treat after a long warm day on the road.

The Museum is only about a 10 minute walk from the start of the mountain hiking trail and a wonderful place to see how the old lived in our area. Smithfield was first founded in 1848 as a church centre on the farm Waterval, owned by CS Halse. As...
